Winter Solstice

Ed Kluska’s Astrology Timing Report Moon in Pisces Moon in the water sign Pisces from Saturday morning until late Monday afternoon boosts Pisces, and to a lesser degree, the other water signs, Cancer and Scorpio. Moon in Pisces also helps any planets and points you have in Pisces and should bring together more things for Pisces on a short-term basis. Within the context of social distancing, Moon in Pisces also supports anyone’s involvement with Pisces-related activities such as music, dancing, painting, movies, theater, film, drama, poetry, fiction, and photography; working with dreams and imagination and subconscious; and anything spiritually oriented such as prayer, yoga, and meditation. Winter Solstice The first day of each season (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter) corresponds with the first day the Sun enters the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn). In astrology, these are the cardinal signs because they are more initiating and action oriented as opposed to the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) and the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces). Therefore, Sun leaving Sagittarius and entering Capricorn at 11:29 AM tomorrow marks winter’s official start in the Northern Hemisphere and summer in the Southern Hemisphere. This shift from Sagittarius to Capricorn highlights the differences between these two signs. Sagittarius is more open, flexible, idealistic, assuming, and exploratory. Capricorn is more set, guarded, doubtful, pragmatic, and focused. Sagittarius is more liberal and extravagant. Capricorn is more conservative and frugal.

Sagittarius is more flexible and adaptable. It’s the risk-taker with far-reaching visions off into the future. Capricorn is more dependable and security oriented. More focused and accountable with what is right here-and-now.

Sagittarius is the half-full optimistic, and Capricorn is the half-empty pessimistic. Sagittarius relies more on faith and good luck to get where they want to go, while Capricorn depends on good-old grit and hard work. Sagittarius is big hopes and dreams. Capricorn can bring them down to reality and put them into a workable format.

Current Sun Sign Factors

The following sign assessments are only “the tip of the iceberg” for what you should know about what is occurring in your horoscope, especially now with the coronavirus dramatically shifting our world as we know it. A complete evaluation of what is happening in your horoscope is far more complex and involved than what any newsletter can present. For example, there are dozens of factors besides your sun sign to consider, such as the transits to all the planets and points in your horoscope. However, merely being aware of the current transits to the position of your Sun and other planets explained in this newsletter can be invaluable because the outer planets (Uranus Neptune Pluto), for example, can create life-altering trends and events. For a complete analysis, contact me.

Venus, the planet related to love, money, and the arts, in Sagittarius from December 15 until January 08, brings blessings and benefits to Sagittarius, and to a lesser degree, the other fire signs, Aries and Leo, and the house in your horoscope ruled by Sagittarius. Check your planets’ exact positions in Sagittarius to know when Venus will bring benefits to your horoscope during the next four weeks.

Mars in Aries from June 27 until January 07, 2021, boosts Aries, and to a lesser degree, the other fire signs, Leo and Sagittarius. During this period, Mars, the planet related to desires, passions, conflicts, urgency, impulsiveness, and stress, will also be challenging Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Capricorn. Contact me or check the planets or points you have in these signs to know when you will likely experience stress and perhaps make mistakes due to the increased demands, anxiety, and possible conflicts related to these planets and points.

Jupiter, the planet of hope, expansion, optimism, opportunities, and good fortune, at 00 degrees Aquarius brings opportunities for anyone born around the twenty-first of any month, especially January, April, May, June, July, August, September, and October and for any planets and points in your horoscope around 00 degrees.

Saturn at 00 degrees Aquarius is likely bringing steady accomplishments for an Aquarius born around January 21 as well as pressures, tests, trials, delays, losses, and even harsh realities for anyone born around the twenty-first of January, April, June, July, August, and October and anyone with points or planets around 00 degrees of Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, and Scorpio.

Uranus retrograde at 07 degrees Taurus brings significant shifts, changes, adjustments, breakthroughs, and even shocks for a Taurus born around April 28 and anyone with planets and points around 08 degrees Taurus. Uranus is also likely creating significant shifts, changes, adjustments, and even shocks for those born around the twenty-eighth of January, April, July, September, October, and November, as well as for anyone with planets and points around 07 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. Uranus in Taurus is also creating possible breakthroughs, advances, and opportunities for a Virgo born around August 28 and a Capricorn born around December 28.

Neptune at 18.25 degrees Pisces brings opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality and/or deception, confusion, weakness, and even illnesses and debilitating conditions for anyone born around the ninth of March, June, August, September, October, and December and anyone with planets and points around 18 degrees Pisces. Neptune in Pisces is also creating opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality for a Cancer born around July 09 and a Scorpio born around November 09.

Pluto at 23.75 degrees Capricorn is a potentially positive influence for a Capricorn born around January 14 and a potentially challenging and transformative period for an Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Libra born around the fourteenth of the month and anyone with planets or points around 24 degrees of the above signs.

Lunar Aspects with Moon in Pisces

With Moon in Pisces, there are fewer lunar aspects than usual. Recall that the lunar (Moon) aspects listed below are in effect for hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Time listed. They can be quite relevant for right timing, that is, choosing to start or initiate a meeting, decision, project, or trip, for example, at a favorable time.

Sunday, December 20

06:33 PM + - (Moon in Pisces 00 Neptune in Pisces) this once a month lunar aspect brings opportunities for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, meditation, and highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. However, this aspect increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion and is not ideal for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.

09:37 PM + (Moon in Pisces 90 Node in Gemini) opportunities for connecting with people via networking, social interactions, and alliances with large and small groups.

Monday, December 21

01:43 AM - (Moon in Pisces 45 Uranus in Taurus) opportunities for increased instincts, willfulness, and aspirations regarding anything new, different, exciting, and adventuresome. However, this aspect also brings nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, volatility, and emotionally charged situations.

05:02 AM (Sun enters Capricorn) the exact time for the Winter Solstice highlighted at the top of this newsletter.

05:24 AM Moon in Pisces Void until 05:32 PM when it enters the next sign, Aries.

This Void is almost twelve hours, so take note because during Void periods, there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

Guidelines for Using This Information

These newsletters are not your typical sun sign column. They provide much more information and guidance, but with so many factors presented, it can be difficult to sort everything out, even for astrology students. I try to keep everything as clear and straightforward as possible.

Keep in mind that these newsletters do not intend to tell you what will happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can plan your life more wisely. It is often apparent which time frames are better than others for timing the start of a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event.

The times given are for the Eastern Time Zone, so you need to adjust the times for where you live. For example, if you live on the West Coast, there is a three-hour difference, which means you need to subtract three hours.

The plus (+) lunar aspects are favorable. The minus (-) lunar aspects are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - lunar aspect, which means that aspect can exhibit positive and negative influences.

The most critical factor with right timing is what is occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope. However, if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you can better time your decisions and activities.

The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try: the better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference with important decisions and events.

During Void periods, there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in each sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon is in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.

The traits and qualities I assign to the signs in these newsletters describe the signs’ functions and meanings versus trying to describe your personality. However, the descriptions may be entirely accurate for you. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, dozens of factors besides one's sun sign need to be considered.

To know what’s going on in your horoscope, and to make better decisions at better times, contact me. We will schedule a private consultation at my office or on the phone, so you can know more about your future and better understand the issues and opportunities in your life as well as your relationships, job, career, education, finances, children, parents, travel, health, location, retirement, karma, and purpose in life.
