Heavy Versus Light
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Timing Report, Friday, May 28, 2021
Moon in the earth sign Capricorn from late Thursday evening early Sunday morning boosts Capricorn, and to a lesser degree, the other earth signs, Taurus and Virgo. Moon in Capricorn also helps any planets and points you have in Capricorn and should bring together more things for Capricorn on a short-term basis.
Moon in Capricorn also supports anyone’s involvement with Capricorn-related attitudes and activities such as defining and working toward longer-range goals; being more organized, disciplined, resourceful, economical, practical, and task-oriented; connecting with people in positions of power and authority; and improving your professional profile and impressions.
Heavy Versus Light
With the Sun in Gemini and the Moon in Capricorn, we have a Sun-Moon combination that applies to any child born and any business, decision, or project started at this time. Gemini and Capricorn require adjustments due to the innate differences between the earth-sign Capricorn and the air-sign Gemini. Earth and air do not mix well. It gets a bit dry and dusty. The winds of the air blow against the soil of the earth.
Capricorn is the introvert: more protective, guarded, and less easy to get to know. Gemini is the extrovert: more friendly, sociable, and easier to get to know. Capricorn is more intense, serious, and private. Gemini is more casual, easy-going, and lighthearted.
Capricorn can be too ponderous. Gemini can be too frivolous. Capricorn is cautious, solemn, and businesslike. Gemini is more playful, chatty, and adventuresome. Capricorn is a straight line aimed toward a specific goal. Gemini is a wiggly line jumping around as it adjusts to its varied interests.
Capricorn rules aging and the elderly. Gemini rules teenagers and early education. Capricorn is what is old and established. Gemini is what is new and fresh. Capricorn is a cold, dry winter day. Gemini is a nice, breezy spring day. Capricorn rules rocks and lead (heavier and more downward). Gemini rules air and butterflies (lighter and more amorphous).
Despite all these differences, this is a capable combination with many intellectual talents and professional skills. Capricorn’s organizational and business skills can work well with Gemini’s education and communication skills to produce successful results.
Mercury Retrograde Reminder
My May 23 newsletter, Mercury Retrograde Is Coming, explained that tomorrow, May 29, Mercury goes retrograde. Unfortunately, many people believe that when Mercury is retrograde, everything is supposed to go wrong. Still, many successful organizations, companies, corporations, and individuals have Mercury retrograde in their horoscopes.
Also, too many people blame Mercury Retrograde for their problems and mishaps when, in fact, more significant astrological factors are contributing to their difficulties, such as Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto challenging important planets and points in their horoscope.
However, when Mercury is retrograde, there can be significant shifts in your plans, and you need to be more careful with decisions. With Mercury ruling thoughts and communication, there is likely to be more “mess-ups” and complications than usual, along with mental lapses and mistakes, misunderstandings, false assumptions, missed appointments, lost checks, written typos, cancellations, and postponements.
Most importantly, the decisions you make and the plans you start with Mercury retrograde are more likely to take a twist and be seen in a different light when unforeseen assumptions and mistakes "come to light” after Mercury goes direct.
The Lunar Aspects
With Moon in Capricorn, most of the lunar aspects are positive. Recall that the lunar (Moon) aspects listed at the end of these newsletters are in effect for hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Time listed.

Current Sun Sign Factors
The following sign assessments are only “the tip of the iceberg” for what you should know about what is occurring in your horoscope. A complete evaluation of what is happening in your horoscope is far more complex and involved than any newsletter can present. For example, there are dozens of factors besides your sun sign to consider, such as the transits to all the planets and points in your horoscope. However, merely being aware of the current transits to your Sun’s position can be invaluable because the outer planets (Uranus Neptune Pluto) create life-altering trends and events. For a complete analysis, contact me.
Venus, the planet related to love, money, and the arts, in Gemini from May 08 until June 02 brings blessings and benefits to Gemini, and to a lesser degree, the other air signs, Libra and Aquarius, and the house in your horoscope ruled by Gemini. Check your planets’ positions in Gemini to know when Venus will benefit your horoscope until June 02.
Mars in Cancer from April 23 until June 11 energizes Cancer, and to a lesser degree, helps the other water signs, Scorpio and Pisces. During this period, Mars, the planet related to desires, passions, conflicts, urgency, impulsiveness, and stress, will also challenge Aries, Cancer, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Aquarius. Check your planets’ positions in the above signs to know when there may be added stress, pressure, and aggravations in your life.
Jupiter, the planet of hope, expansion, optimism, opportunities, and good fortune, approaching 01 degrees Pisces brings opportunities for anyone with planets and points at 01 degrees Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and especially Pisces.
Saturn stationary at 13.5 degrees Aquarius is likely bringing steady accomplishments for anyone born at 14 degrees Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius as well as pressures, tests, trials, delays, losses, and even harsh realities for anyone with points or planets at 14 degrees Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, and Aquarius.
Uranus at 12 degrees Taurus brings significant shifts, changes, adjustments, breakthroughs, and even shocks for anyone with planets and points at 12 degrees Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. Uranus in Taurus also creates possible advances, breakthroughs, and new opportunities for those with planets and points at 12 degrees Virgo and Capricorn.
Neptune approaching 23 degrees Pisces brings opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality for anyone born at 23 degrees Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces and possible deception, confusion, weakness, and even illnesses and debilitating conditions for anyone born at 23 degrees Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Pisces.
Pluto retrograde at 26.5 degrees Capricorn is a positive influence for anyone born at 26 degrees Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. This position is also potentially challenging and transformative for those with planets and points at 26 degrees Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.
Lunar Aspects
The most important Moon in Capricorn lunar aspects are listed below. The descriptions do not intend to tell you what will happen in your life at the times given. Instead, they provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can plan your life more wisely. It is often apparent which time frames are better than others for timing a party, trip, decision, project, business, or other events.
Lunar aspects are in effect for a few hours (versus days) before and until the times given for the Eastern Time Zone. You need to adjust the times for where you live. For example, if you live on the West Coast, there is a three-hour difference, which means you need to subtract three hours.
The plus (+) lunar aspects are favorable. The minus (-) lunar aspects are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - lunar aspect, which can exhibit positive and negative influences.
Thursday, May 27
10:23 PM Moon entered Capricorn, where it remains until early Sunday morning when it enters the next sign, Aquarius.
Friday, May 28
03:51 PM + (Moon in Capricorn 150 Node in Gemini) opportunities for connecting with people via networking, social interactions, and alliances with large and small groups.
06:21 PM + (Moon in Capricorn 120 Uranus in Taurus) opportunities for instincts, intuition, and forward-looking aspirations regarding anything new, different, exciting, and adventuresome, especially anything involving business and professional matters because this aspect involves the earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn.
Saturday, May 29
10:35 AM - (Moon in Capricorn 180 Mars in Cancer) opportunities for being bolder and more direct. However, this aspect magnifies feelings, passions, motivations and brings upsets, impatience, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions.
04:22 PM + (Moon in Capricorn 150 Venus in Gemini) opportunities for cooperation, cheerfulness, affections, pleasantries, gracefulness, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially involving females.
06:14 PM + (Moon in Capricorn 00 Pluto in Capricorn) this once-a-month lunar aspect brings opportunities for influential, productive, and psychic females. This aspect also increases the possibilities for practical and concrete business plans and deeper feelings and psychic impressions.
06:34 PM The exact time Mercury goes retrograde which is highlighted at the top of this newsletter.
06:14 PM Moon in Capricorn Void until 12:04 AM Sunday when it enters the next sign, Aquarius.
This Void is almost six hours, so take note because there tends to be a lull in the energy levels during Void periods, and what you start or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.
Guidelines for Using This Information
These newsletters are not your typical sun sign column. They provide much more information and guidance, but it can be difficult to sort everything out with so many factors presented, even for astrology students. I try to keep everything as clear and straightforward as possible.
The most critical factor with right timing is what is occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope. However, if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you can better time your decisions and activities.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try: the better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference with important decisions and events.
Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in each sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon is in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless significant aspects are currently challenging your horoscope.
The traits and qualities I assign to the signs in these newsletters describe the signs’ functions and meanings versus describing your personality. However, the descriptions may be entirely accurate for you. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, dozens of factors besides one's sun sign need to be considered.
