Moon in Cancer from late this afternoon until Saturday morning boosts Cancer, and to a lesser degree, the other water signs, Scorpio and Pisces. Moon in Cancer also helps any planets and points you have in Cancer and should help bring more things together for Cancer on a short-term basis.
Moon in Cancer supports anyone’s involvement with Cancer-related activities such as helping family and friends; nurturing people along; cooking, household duties, home decorating and repairs; antiques, memories, and genealogy; and gardening, housing, real estate, land development, farming, and agriculture.
Still in Effect
As highlighted in my last newsletter, Sun in Leo square Uranus in Taurus is still in effect through this weekend. This challenging solar aspect brings more excitement, restlessness, impulsiveness, aggravations, and ego battles than usual. The status quo tends to be upset with surprises, unexpected events, turbulent changes, and highly charged situations, especially involving males. It can be like lightning bolts coming out of nowhere.
This Sun-Uranus aspect also increases the chances for accidents, injuries, attacks, violence, natural disasters, hurricanes, earthquakes, protests, anarchy, and escalated military tensions.
And it is likely bringing significant shifts, changes, adjustments, breakthroughs, and even shocks for anyone with planets and points at 14-15 degrees Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius, and advances, breakthroughs, and new opportunities for those with planets and points at 14-15 degrees Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn.
Family Oriented
With Sun in Leo and Moon in Cancer, you should know the innate differences between these two signs, especially if they have an emphasis in your horoscope or a relationship.
Cancer wants to be needed. It desires sympathy, tenderness, and emotional support. Cancer is the introvert seeking secure emotional attachments. It holds on to what is safe and familiar, so it is more comfortable being around what is familiar, such as their home and family.
Leo is fun and proud. It wants recognition, appreciation, and respect. Leo is much more secure, outward, and expressive. It is the consummate extrovert who likes to meet and greet the world and be on stage in the limelight.
Cancer is probably the most insecure zodiac sign, and Leo is probably the most confident sign. Cancer says, “I want to take care of you, and I will do anything to please you.” But, on the other hand, Leo says, “I am important, and you need to pay more attention to me.”
The clinging nature of water Cancer can put out the expressive enthusiasm of fiery Leo. And the fire of Leo can upset the sensitive feelings and moods of Cancer. On the plus side, relationships and people with a Cancer Leo emphasis are usually warm and loving. Their opposite signs, Capricorn and Aquarius, are much more cool, detached, and intellectual by nature.
Cancer rules home and family, and Leo rules children and loved ones, so this sign combination naturally wants to create a wonderful home and family. Typically, they are involved and protective parents who genuinely want what is best for their children and loved ones. These same factors also apply to anyone with a strong fourth and fifth house emphasis in their horoscope.

Mars in Virgo from July 29 until September 14 energizes Virgo, and to a lesser degree, helps the other earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn. During this period, Mars, the planet related to desires, passions, conflicts, urgency, impulsiveness, and stress, will also challenge Aries, Gemini, Sagittarius, Aquarius, and Pisces. Check your planets’ positions in the above signs to know when there may be added stress, pressure, and aggravations in your life.
Jupiter, the planet of hope, expansion, optimism, opportunities, and good fortune, retrograde at 29 degrees Aquarius brings opportunities for anyone with planets and points at 29 degrees Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and especially Aquarius.
Saturn retrograde at 10 degrees Aquarius is likely bringing steady accomplishments for anyone born at 10 degrees Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius as well as pressures, tests, trials, delays, losses, and even harsh realities for anyone with points or planets at 10 degrees Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, and Aquarius.
Uranus at 14.5 degrees Taurus brings significant shifts, changes, adjustments, breakthroughs, and even shocks for anyone with planets and points around 15 degrees Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. Uranus in Taurus also creates possible advances, breakthroughs, and new opportunities for those with planets and points at 15 degrees Virgo and Capricorn.
Neptune retrograde at 23 degrees Pisces brings opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality for anyone born at 23 degrees Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces and possible deception, confusion, weakness, and even illnesses and debilitating conditions for anyone born at 23 degrees Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Pisces.
Pluto retrograde at 25 degrees Capricorn positively influences anyone born at 25 degrees Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. This position is also potentially challenging and transformative for those with planets and points at 25 degrees Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.
Lunar Aspects
The most important Moon in Cancer lunar aspects are listed below. The descriptions do not intend to tell you what will happen in your life at the times given. Instead, they provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can plan your life more wisely. It is often apparent which time frames are better than others for timing a party, trip, decision, project, business, or other events.
Lunar aspects are in effect for a few hours (versus days) before and until the times given for the Eastern Time Zone. Therefore, you need to adjust the times for where you live. For example, if you live on the West Coast, there is a three-hour difference, which means you need to subtract three hours.
The plus (+) lunar aspects are favorable. The minus (-) lunar aspects are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - lunar aspect, which can exhibit positive and negative influences.

01:43 PM + (Moon in Cancer 120 Neptune in Pisces) opportunities for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation, as well as highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations.
06:11 PM - (Moon in Cancer 180 Pluto in Capricorn) opportunities for digging deeper into your emotions and feelings. However, this aspect can complicate relationships with subtle yet emotionally charged situations, including manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles, although these factors may not be fully realized until later.

This Void is only two hours but take note because there tends to be a lull in the energy levels during Void periods. What you start or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.
Guidelines for Using This Information
These newsletters are not your typical sun sign column. They provide much more information and guidance, but it can be difficult to sort everything out with so many factors presented, even for astrology students. Therefore, I try to keep everything as clear and straightforward as possible.
The most critical factor with right timing is what is occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope. However, if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you can better time your decisions and activities.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try: the better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference with important decisions and events.
Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in each sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon is in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless significant aspects are currently challenging your horoscope.
The traits and qualities I assign to the signs in these newsletters describe the signs’ functions and meanings versus describing your personality. However, the descriptions may be entirely accurate for you. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, dozens of factors besides one's sun sign need to be considered.
