A Busy Two Weeks
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Timing Report, Sunday, August 15, 2021
Moon in the fire sign Sagittarius from late Sunday evening until early Wednesday morning boosts Sagittarius, and to a lesser degree, the other fire signs, Aries and Leo. Moon in Sagittarius also helps any planets and points you have in Sagittarius and should bring together more things for Sagittarius on a short-term basis.
Moon in Sagittarius supports anyone’s involvement with Sagittarius-related attitudes and activities such as adventure, growth, and excitement; feeling more hopeful, optimistic, and forward-looking; sales, marketing, advertising, promotion, broadcasting, and media work; sports, athletics, and outdoor activities; books, publishing, knowledge, scholarship, lecturing, and higher education; exploring religious, ethical, and philosophical interests; and foreign languages, traveling abroad, and exploring other cultures.
A Positive Combination
With Sun two-thirds through Leo and Moon in Sagittarius, we have a positive, high confidence Sun-Moon sign combination with a predisposition toward leadership, exploration, and high aspirations. People with a Leo-Sagittarius emphasis can inspire others with a generous spirit, idealism, spark, and confidence. In addition, they have special skills in marketing, advertising, and promotion as well as publishing, athletics, outdoor adventures, and international activities.
A Busy Two Weeks
Last week was marked by a nasty Mars 150 Saturn aspect. As reported in previous newsletters, challenging Mars-Saturn aspects increase the possibilities for shocks, disputes, controversies, intolerances, instability, restlessness, uncertainty, aggressions, accidents, shootings, violence, weather extremes, military actions, and natural disasters.
The headlines were: “Climate Report: the world is headed for an impending catastrophe,” “Taliban sweep into Afghan capital as government collapses and President flees country,” “More than a thousand dead as devastating earthquake hits Haiti,” “Record heat and temperature records,” “Thousands of homes evacuated as the nation’s largest fire in California rages,” “The wildfires engulfing much of Greece are a natural disaster of unprecedented proportions,” “Mask mandates spark chaos at school board meetings,” and “Person stabbed as vaccination demonstrators clash outside Los Angeles City Hall.”
This week two important aspects, both in effect for five days, become exact: Sun 150 Pluto on Tuesday and Sun 180 Jupiter on Thursday.
Challenging Sun-Pluto aspects are related to jealousy, sabotage, manipulation, domination, hidden motives, fanaticism, arrogance, subversion, hidden agendas, power struggles, and political maneuvering, especially involving men. They also increase the possibilities for protests, disasters, and extremes with politics, weather, finances, and issues such as the coronavirus.
Sun 180 Jupiter has its challenges but is more hopeful and will be covered in the next newsletter.
Current Sun Sign Factors
The following sign assessments are only “the tip of the iceberg” for what you should know about what is occurring in your horoscope. A complete evaluation of what is happening in your horoscope is far more complex and involved than any newsletter can present. For example, there are dozens of factors besides your sun sign to consider, such as the transits to all the planets and points in your horoscope. However, merely being aware of the current transits to your Sun’s position can be invaluable because the outer planets (Uranus Neptune Pluto) create life-altering trends and events. For a complete analysis, contact me.
Venus, the planet related to love, money, and the arts, in Libra from August 16 until September 10 brings blessings and benefits to Libra, and, to a lesser degree, the other air signs, Gemini and Aquarius, and the house in your horoscope ruled by Libra.
Mars in Virgo from July 29 until September 14 energizes Virgo, and to a lesser degree, helps the other earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn. During this period, Mars, the planet related to desires, passions, conflicts, urgency, impulsiveness, and stress, will also challenge Aries, Gemini, Sagittarius, Aquarius, and Pisces. Check your planets’ positions in the above signs to know when there may be added stress, pressure, and aggravations in your life.
Jupiter, the planet of hope, expansion, optimism, opportunities, and good fortune, retrograde at 27.5 degrees Aquarius brings opportunities for anyone with planets and points at 27 degrees Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and especially Aquarius.
Saturn retrograde at 09 degrees Aquarius is likely bringing steady accomplishments for anyone born at 09 degrees Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius as well as pressures, tests, trials, delays, losses, and even harsh realities for anyone with points or planets at 09 degrees Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, and Aquarius.
Uranus at 14.5 degrees Taurus brings significant shifts, changes, adjustments, breakthroughs, and even shocks for anyone with planets and points around 15 degrees Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. Uranus in Taurus also creates possible advances, breakthroughs, and new opportunities for those with planets and points at 15 degrees Virgo and Capricorn.
Neptune retrograde at 22.5 degrees Pisces brings opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality for anyone born at 22 degrees Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces and possible deception, confusion, weakness, and even illnesses and debilitating conditions for anyone born at 22 degrees Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Pisces.
Pluto retrograde at 25 degrees Capricorn positively influences anyone born at 25 degrees Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. This position is also potentially challenging and transformative for those with planets and points at 25 degrees Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.
Lunar Aspects
The most important Moon in Sagittarius lunar aspects are listed below. The descriptions do not intend to tell you what will happen in your life at the times given. Instead, they provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can plan your life more wisely. It is often apparent which time frames are better than others for timing a party, trip, decision, project, business, or other events.
Lunar aspects are in effect for a few hours (versus days) before and until the times given for the Eastern Time Zone. Therefore, you need to adjust the times for where you live. For example, if you live on the West Coast, there is a three-hour difference, so you need to subtract three hours.
The plus (+) lunar aspects are favorable. The minus (-) lunar aspects are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - lunar aspect, which can exhibit positive and negative influences.
Sunday, August 15
11:19 PM Moon entered Sagittarius, where it remains until early Wednesday morning when it enters the next sign, Capricorn.
Monday, August 16
12:04 PM + (Moon in Sagittarius 180 Node in Gemini) opportunities for connecting with people via networking, social interactions, and alliances with large and small groups.
06:31 PM - (Moon in Sagittarius 90 Mars in Virgo) opportunities for being bolder and more direct. However, this aspect magnifies feelings, passions, motivations and brings upsets, impatience, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions.
Tuesday, August 17
12:15 AM - (Moon in Sagittarius 150 Uranus in Taurus) opportunities for increased instincts, willfulness, and aspirations regarding anything new, different, exciting, and adventuresome. However, this also brings nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, volatility, and emotionally charged situations.
01:18 PM - (Moon in Sagittarius 90 Neptune in Pisces) opportunities for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, meditation, and highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. However, this aspect increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion and is not ideal for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.
05:51 PM + (Moon in Sagittarius 120 Sun in Leo) the exact time for the harmonious aspect between Sun and Moon highlighted at the top of this newsletter.
09:42 PM + (Moon in Sagittarius 60 Jupiter in Aquarius) opportunities for any interpersonal situation, including meetings and working with the public. This lunar aspect also increases the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive attitudes, shared feelings, and uplifting emotional support.
09:42 PM Moon in Sagittarius Void until 01:57 AM Wednesday when it enters the next sign, Capricorn.
This Void is more than four hours, so take note because there tends to be a lull in the energy levels during Void periods. What you start or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.
Guidelines for Using This Information
These newsletters are not your typical sun sign column. They provide much more information and guidance, but it can be difficult to sort everything out with so many factors presented, even for astrology students. Therefore, I try to keep everything as clear and straightforward as possible.
The most critical factor with right timing is what is occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope. However, if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you can better time your decisions and activities.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try: the better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference with important decisions and events.
Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in each sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon is in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless significant aspects are currently challenging your horoscope.
The traits and qualities I assign to the signs in these newsletters describe the signs’ functions and meanings versus describing your personality. However, the descriptions may be entirely accurate for you. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, dozens of factors besides one's sun sign need to be considered.
