New Moon Constraints

Ed Kluska's Astrology Timing Report

Moon in Libra

Moon in the air sign Libra from early Thursday morning until early Saturday morning boosts Libra, and a lesser degree, the other air signs, Gemini and Aquarius. Moon in Libra also helps any planets and points you have in Libra and should bring together more things for Libra on a short-term basis.

Within the context of social distancing, Moon in Libra also supports anyone’s involvement with Libra-related activities such as fostering relationships and diplomacy by being more interactive and accommodating; being more aware of the needs of friends, partners, and clients; and expressing oneself artistically and creatively including making everything around you more beautiful and harmonious.

New Moon Constraints

With the Sun two-thirds of the way through Libra, Friday afternoon Moon in Libra “catches up” with the Sun to form a New Moon at 24 degrees Libra. Typically, New Moons are favorable for new beginnings, but this New Moon forms a challenging 90-degree aspect to Saturn in Capricorn.

Challenging Saturn aspects do not put the odds on our side. They tend to delay and block versus help and support. People with a Sun-Saturn aspect in their horoscope endure many obstacles and difficulties, although, in the end, their grit, durability, and work ethic can make them successful.

Therefore, this is not an ideal time to start something of significance and anything new into your life and anyone new you meet will likely bring Saturn-like results: delays, restrictions, disappointments, and frustrations. These days should also continue to present challenges and obstacles for the fiscal stimulus bill in Washington and all virus-related issues around the globe.

Mercury Retrograde Shifts & Changes

As reported in my last newsletter, Mercury went retrograde Tuesday evening, which means this past week you probably have and are experiencing shifts and changes with your plans and decisions. Most importantly, the decisions you make and the plans you start with Mercury retrograde are more likely to take a twist and be seen differently when unforeseen assumptions and mistakes "come to light” after Mercury goes direct, which in this case is November 03, Election Day.

Current Sun Sign Factors

The following sign assessments are only “the tip of the iceberg” for what you should know about what is occurring in your horoscope, especially now with the coronavirus dramatically shifting our world as we know it. A complete evaluation of what is happening in your horoscope is far more complex and involved than what any newsletter can present. For example, there are dozens of factors besides your sun sign to consider, such as the transits to all the planets and points in your horoscope. However, merely being aware of the current transits to the position of your Sun and other planets explained in this newsletter can be invaluable because the outer planets (Uranus Neptune Pluto), for example, can create life-altering trends and events. For a complete analysis, contact me.

Venus, the planet related to love, money, and the arts, in Virgo from October 01 until October 27, brings blessings and benefits to Virgo, and a lesser degree, the other earth signs, Taurus and Capricorn, and the house in your horoscope ruled by Virgo. Check your planets’ exact positions in Virgo to know when Venus will bring benefits to your horoscope.

Mars in Aries from June 27 until January 07, 2021, boosts Aries, and a lesser degree, the other fire signs, Leo and Sagittarius. During this period, Mars, the planet related to desires, passions, conflicts, urgency, impulsiveness, and stress, will also be challenging Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Capricorn. Contact me or check the planets or points you have in these signs to know when you will likely experience stress and perhaps make mistakes due to the increased demands, anxiety, and possible conflicts related to these planets and points.

Jupiter, the planet of hope, expansion, optimism, opportunities, and good fortune, at 19 degrees Capricorn, brings opportunities for anyone born around the tenth of any month, especially January, April, May, June, July, August, September, and October and for any planets and points in your horoscope around 19 degrees.

Saturn, stationary at 25.5 degrees Capricorn, is likely bringing steady accomplishments for a Capricorn born around January 16 as well as pressures, tests, trials, delays, losses, and even harsh realities for anyone born around the sixteenth of January, April, June, July, August, and October and anyone with points or planets around 25 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.

Uranus retrograde at 09.5 degrees Taurus brings significant shifts, changes, adjustments, breakthroughs, and even shocks for a Taurus born around April 30 and anyone with planets and points around 09 degrees Taurus. Uranus is also likely creating significant shifts, changes, adjustments, and even shocks for those born around January 30, April 30, July 30, September 30, October 30, and November 30, as well as for anyone with planets and points around 09 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. Uranus in Taurus is also creating possible breakthroughs, advances, and opportunities for a Virgo born around August 30 and a Capricorn born around December 30.

Neptune retrograde at 19 degrees Pisces brings opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality and/or deception, confusion, weakness, and even illnesses and debilitating conditions for anyone born around the ninth of March, June, August, September, October, and December and anyone with planets and points around 19 degrees Pisces. Neptune in Pisces is also creating opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality for a Cancer born around July 10 and a Scorpio born around November 10.

Pluto retrograde at 22.5 degrees Capricorn is a potentially positive influence for a Capricorn born around January 13 and a potentially challenging and transformative period for an Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Libra born around the fourteenth of the month and anyone with planets or points around 22 degrees of the above signs.

Lunar Aspects with Moon in Libra

With Moon in Libra, there are fewer lunar aspects than usual, and most of them are challenging. Recall that the lunar (Moon) aspects listed below are in effect for hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Time listed. They can be quite relevant for right timing, that is, choosing to start or initiate a meeting, decision, project, or trip, for example, at a favorable time.

Thursday, October 15

01:53 AM Moon entered Libra, where it remains until early Saturday morning when it enters the next sign, Scorpio.

04:39 PM - (Moon in Libra 150 Uranus in Taurus) opportunities for increased instincts, willfulness, and aspirations regarding anything new, different, exciting, and adventuresome. However, this aspect also brings nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, volatility, and emotionally charged situations.

Friday, October 16

07:19 AM - (Moon in Libra 150 Neptune in Pisces) opportunities for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation, and highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. However, this aspect increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion and is not ideal for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.

08:06 AM + (Moon in Libra 90 Jupiter in Capricorn) opportunities for any interpersonal situation, including meetings and working with the public. This lunar aspect also increases the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive attitudes, shared feelings, and uplifting emotional support.

09:49 AM - (Moon in Libra 180 Mars in Aries) opportunities for being bolder and more direct. However, this aspect can magnify feelings, passions, and motivations, and bring upsets, impatience, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions.

01:22 PM - (Moon in Libra 90 Pluto in Capricorn) opportunities for digging deeper into your emotions and feelings. However, this aspect can complicate relationships with subtle yet emotionally charged situations, including manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles, although these factors may not be fully realized until later.

03:31 PM - (Moon in Libra 00 Sun in Libra) the exact time for the New Moon highlighted at the top of this newsletter.

06:11 PM - (Moon in Libra 90 Saturn in Capricorn) opportunities for orderly, steady, conscientious, pragmatic, and realistic plans and activities. However, this aspect is challenging because it is emotionally restrictive and can create issues, worries, and differences.

06:11 PM Moon in Libra Void until 01:05 AM Saturday when it enters the next sign, Scorpio.

This Void is almost seven hours, so take note because during Void periods, there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

Guidelines for Using This Information

These newsletters are not your typical sun sign column. They provide much more information and guidance, but with so many factors presented, it can be difficult to sort everything out, even for astrology students. I try to keep everything as clear and straightforward as possible.

Keep in mind that these newsletters do not intend to tell you what will happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can plan your life more wisely. It is often apparent which time frames are better than others for timing the start of a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event.

The times given are for the Eastern Time Zone, so you need to adjust the times for where you live. For example, if you live in on the West Coast, there is a three-hour difference, which means you need to subtract three hours.

The plus (+) lunar aspects are favorable. The minus (-) lunar aspects are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - lunar aspect, which means that aspect can exhibit positive and negative influences.

The most critical factor with right timing is what is occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope. However, if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you can better time your decisions and activities.

The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try: the better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference with important decisions and events.

During Void periods, there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in each sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon is in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.

The traits and qualities I assign to the signs in these newsletters describe the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality. However, the descriptions may be entirely accurate for you. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, dozens of factors besides one's sun sign need to be considered.
