Freedoms Versus Restrictions

Ed Kluska’s Astrology Timing Report

Moon in Scorpio

Moon in the water sign Scorpio from this morning until Tuesday morning boosts Scorpio, and a lesser degree, the other water signs, Cancer and Pisces. Moon in Scorpio also helps any planets and points you have in Scorpio and should bring together more things for Scorpio on a short-term basis.

Within the context of social distancing, Moon in Scorpio also supports anyone’s involvement with Scorpio-related attitudes and activities such as being more attuned to intimacy, sexuality, and power issues; working on deeper emotions and feelings such as anger and resentment; focusing on self-transformation, esoteric studies, and the mysteries of life; any scientific exploration and research; and dealing with taxes, debts, insurance, wills, surgery, medical records, brokerage accounts, and credit card statements as well as plumbing, sewerage, air conditioning, and recycling.

Good News for Timing

As highlighted in my last newsletter, Mercury entered Virgo on Wednesday, and yesterday Sun entered Virgo, where it remains until September 22. Overall, Sun and Mercury in Virgo will create positive timing opportunities for the next month because Sun and Mercury will be in harmony with Uranus in Taurus and Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in Capricorn. This contrasts with the past three months when Sun in Gemini, Cancer, and Leo were making challenging aspects to Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in Capricorn.

Lunar Pluses

Despite Mars square Saturn dominating the sky, all the lunar aspects on Monday are positive, which is unusual. Recall that the lunar (Moon) aspects listed at the end of these newsletters are in effect for hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Time given.

Freedoms Versus Regulations

My last newsletter, A Nasty One Is Here, highlighted a challenging aspect between two stress-producing planets, Mars and Saturn, which is still in effect. This powerful aspect intensifies everything and brings issues and controversies into the focus. Tensions run high. Frustrations, fears, delays, disputes, bitterness, and uncertainties are more likely as are weather extremes, accidents, aggressions, shootings, violence, murders, escalated military tensions, and natural disasters such as earthquakes, wildfires, and hurricanes.

Furthermore, this aspect is in Aries and Capricorn. With Aries and Capricorn active, one part of you wants to leap forward (Aries), and the other part wants to stop and think first (Capricorn). Aries is green lights. Capricorn is stop signs.

Aries wants excitement with few rules and boundaries while Capricorn wants to be sure and certain. Aries is freedom and individual rights. Capricorn is laws, the police, and government regulations.

Aries ruled by Mars thrives on spontaneity and freedom. Action and initiatives are more important than pausing and planning. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, thrives on caution, format, and responsibilities. It’s action after much foresight and planning.

Aries is the youngster at the grocery checkout counter impulsively grabbing candy off the shelves. Capricorn is the responsible parent directing the child and setting parameters as to what is proper.

All this is relevant with the coronavirus. We all want our freedoms back. People want to travel and shop and socialize without masks. Athletes want to play ball and college students want to be at school and party as if nothing has changed. We want our lives back to normal, but out of necessity, many delays, frustrations, and resentments have grown with all the new rules, limitations, and regulations. We want to do what we want to when we want to (Aries), but additional rules, regulations, and restrictions are hindrances (Capricorn).

Current Sun Sign Factors

The following sign assessments are only “the tip of the iceberg” for what you should know about what is occurring in your horoscope, especially now with the coronavirus dramatically shifting our world as we know it. A complete evaluation of what is happening in your horoscope is far more complex and involved than what any newsletter can present. For example, there are dozens of factors besides your sun sign to consider, such as the transits to all the planets and points in your horoscope. However, merely being aware of the current transits to the position of your Sun and other planets explained in this newsletter can be invaluable because the outer planets (Uranus Neptune Pluto), for example, can create life-altering trends and events. For a complete analysis, contact me.

Venus, the planet related to love, money, and the arts, is in Cancer until September 06 when it enters the next sign, Leo. Venus in Cancer brings blessings and benefits to Cancer, and a lesser degree, the other water signs, Scorpio and Pisces, and the house in your horoscope ruled by Cancer. Check your planets’ exact positions in Cancer to know when Venus will be bringing benefits to your horoscope.

Mars in Aries from June 27 until January 07, 2021, boosts Aries, and a lesser degree, the other fire signs, Leo and Sagittarius. During this period, Mars, the planet related to desires, passions, conflicts, urgency, impulsiveness, and stress, will also be challenging Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Capricorn. Contact me or check the planets or points you have in these signs to know when you will likely experience stress and perhaps make mistakes due to the increased demands, anxiety, and possible conflicts related to these planets and points.

Jupiter, the planet of hope, expansion, optimism, opportunities, and good fortune, retrograde at 18 degrees Capricorn, brings opportunities for anyone born around the ninth of any month, especially January, April, May, June, July, August, September, and October and for any planets and points in your horoscope around 18 degrees.

Saturn, retrograde and approaching 26 degrees Capricorn, is likely bringing steady accomplishments for a Capricorn born around January 17 as well as pressures, tests, trials, delays, losses, and even harsh realities for anyone born around the seventeenth of January, April, June, July, August, and October and anyone with points or planets around 26 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.

Uranus retrograde at 10.5 degrees Taurus brings significant shifts, changes, adjustments, breakthroughs, and even shocks for a Taurus born around May 01 and anyone with planets and points around 10 degrees Taurus. Uranus is also likely creating significant shifts, changes, adjustments, and even shocks for those born around January 31, May 01, July 31, October 01, October 31, and December 01 as well as for anyone with planets and points around 10 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. Uranus in Taurus is also creating possible breakthroughs, advances, and opportunities for a Virgo born around August 31 and a Capricorn born around December 31.

Neptune retrograde at 20 degrees Pisces brings opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality and/or deception, confusion, weakness, and even illnesses and debilitating conditions for anyone born around the tenth of March, June, August, September, October, and December and anyone with planets and points around 20 degrees Pisces. Neptune in Pisces is also creating opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality for a Cancer born around July 10 and a Scorpio born around November 10.

Pluto retrograde at 23 degrees Capricorn is a potentially positive influence for a Capricorn born around January 14 and a potentially challenging and transformative period for an Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Libra born around the fourteenth of the month and anyone with planets or points around 23 degrees of the above signs.

Lunar Aspects with Moon in Scorpio

The lunar (Moon) aspects listed below are in effect for hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Time given. They can be quite relevant for right timing, that is, choosing to start or initiate a meeting, decision, project, or trip, for example, at a favorable time.

Sunday, August 23

06:15 AM Moon entered Scorpio, where it remains until Tuesday morning when it enters the next sign, Sagittarius.

02:39 PM - (Moon in Scorpio 135 Neptune in Pisces) opportunities for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation, and highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. However, this aspect increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion and is not ideal for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.

11:59 PM - (Moon in Scorpio 180 Uranus in Taurus) opportunities for increased instincts, willfulness, and aspirations regarding anything new, different, exciting, and adventuresome. However, this aspect also brings nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, volatility, and emotionally charged situations.

Monday, August 24

09:51 AM + (Moon in Scorpio 120 Venus in Cancer) opportunities for cooperation, cheerfulness, affections, pleasantries, gracefulness, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially involving females.

12:20 PM + (Moon in Scorpio 60 Jupiter in Capricorn) opportunities for any interpersonal situation, including meetings and working with the public. This lunar aspect also increases the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive attitudes, shared feelings, and uplifting emotional support.

03:47 PM + (Moon in Scorpio 120 Neptune in Pisces) opportunities for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation, and highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations.

08:35 PM + (Moon in Scorpio 60 Pluto in Capricorn) opportunities for psychic impressions and being more in touch with your deeper feelings and emotions.

Tuesday, August 25

02:41 AM - (Moon in Scorpio 150 Mars in Aries) opportunities for being bolder and more direct. However, this aspect can magnify feelings, passions, and motivations, and bring upsets, impatience, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions.

02:41 AM Moon in Scorpio Void until 08:49 AM when it enters the next sign, Sagittarius.

This Void is more than six hours, so take note because during Void periods, there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

Guidelines for Using This Information

These newsletters are not your typical sun sign column. They provide much more information and guidance, but with so many factors presented, it can be difficult to sort everything out, even for astrology students. I try to keep everything as clear and straightforward as possible.

Keep in mind that these newsletters do not intend to tell you what will happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can plan your life more wisely. It is often apparent which time frames are better than others for timing the start of a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event.

The times given are for the Eastern Time Zone, so you need to adjust the times for where you live. For example, if you live in on the West Coast, there is a three-hour difference, which means you need to subtract three hours.

The plus (+) lunar aspects are favorable. The minus (-) lunar aspects are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - lunar aspect, which means that aspect can exhibit positive and negative influences.

The most critical factor with right timing is what is occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope. However, if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you can better time your decisions and activities.

The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try: the better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference with important decisions and events.

During Void periods, there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon is in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.

The traits and qualities I assign to the signs in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality. However, the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, dozens of factors besides one's sun sign need to be considered.

To know what’s going on in your horoscope, and to make better decisions at better times, contact me. We will schedule a private consultation at my office or on the phone, so you can know more about your future and better understand the issues and opportunities in your life as well as your relationships, job, career, education, finances, children, parents, travel, health, location, retirement, karma, and purpose in life.
