Mars-Pluto Alert

Ed Kluska’s Astrology Timing Report

Moon in Taurus

Moon in the earth sign Taurus from Sunday evening until Wednesday morning boosts Taurus, and to a lesser degree, the other earth signs, Virgo and Capricorn. Moon in Taurus also helps any planets and points you have in Taurus and should bring together more things for Taurus on a short-term basis.

Within the context of social distancing, Moon in Taurus also supports anyone’s involvement with Taurus-related activities such as gardening, landscaping, agriculture, and geology; connecting with nature by walking in a park or going to the countryside; dealing with financial matters such as organizing records and collecting debts; buying and selling things of value; and artistic endeavors such as singing, painting, sculpture, and designing.

Leo-Taurus

With the Sun two-thirds through Leo and Moon in Taurus, we have two signs with very different needs and life approaches. Taurus is security-oriented while Leo is more the risk-taker. Taurus is complacency and satisfaction while Leo wants to be and do more. Taurus is more practical, easy-going, and down to earth. Leo is more dramatic with their feelings and expressions. Taurus does not need to be as much the center of attention. It can be supportive rather than competitive, as opposed to Leo, who needs to be front and center. This factor and all the aspects present in this newsletter are relevant for any birth, wedding, decision, business, for example, started around this time.

Bright Yet Scattered

In effect for days, Mercury square Uranus becomes exact on Tuesday. People with Mercury square Uranus in their horoscope are bright, independent, innovative, and free-thinking. They dislike being told what to do and how to do things. They do well in unstructured environments that allow them to make their own decisions and respond to the moment’s needs rather than following a routine and standardized way of doing things. Their minds function more in an intuitive, nonlinear fashion, and sudden insights and flashes of inspiration often come "out of the blue.” They also have an aptitude for science and new technologies and a penchant for astrology and other esoteric sciences.

The problem is that with a square to Uranus (nervous and restless), their thoughts and thinking (Mercury) dance from one subject to the next so rapidly that they cannot thoroughly take in and digest as much as they should. They get bored and restless, and often intellectually rebel against too much monotony. They can be abrupt and impatient with people whose minds plod along because they want everything to move along quickly and spontaneously.

Mars-Pluto Alert

Heads up! Thursday, a powerful and challenging aspect between Mars in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn, becomes exact. In effect this week, this significant aspect occurs about twice a year and increases the possibilities for unrest, turmoil, violence, assaults, injuries, brutality, ruthlessness, murders, earthquakes, and severe weather. This planetary combination is also connected with fanaticism and self-righteousness with a need to “be right,” leaving little room for compromise or contrary thinking. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in Washington DC and around the world with all the current discord and challenges including the coronavirus epidemic.

This aspect is particularly relevant for anyone born around the twenty-third day of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn and anyone with planets or points around 23 degrees of the above signs.

On the plus side, Mars-Pluto aspects are favorable for hard work, focused efforts, determination, persistence, and endurance. This aspect represents the fighter and soldier and can generate extraordinary energy, stamina, and determination to help you be more productive and achieving. There are always positive and productive ways to work with and manifest challenging planetary energies.

Current Sun Sign Factors

The following sign assessments are only “the tip of the iceberg” for what you should know about what is occurring in your horoscope, especially now with the coronavirus dramatically shifting our world as we know it. A complete evaluation of what is happening in your horoscope is far more complex and involved than what any newsletter can present. For example, there are dozens of factors besides your sun sign, such as the transits to all the planets and points in your horoscope. However, merely being aware of the current transits to the position of your Sun and other planets explained in this newsletter can be invaluable because the outer planets (Uranus Neptune Pluto), for example, can create life-altering trends and events. For a complete analysis, contact me.

Last Friday, Venus, the planet related to love, money, and the arts, entered Cancer, where it remains until September 06 when it enters the next sign, Leo. Venus in Cancer brings blessings and benefits to Cancer, and to a lesser degree, the other water signs, Scorpio and Pisces, and the house in your horoscope ruled by Cancer. Check your planets’ exact positions in Cancer to know when Venus will bring benefits to your horoscope during the coming month.

During this period, Mars, the planet related to desires, passions, conflicts, urgency, impulsiveness, and stress, will also be challenging Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Capricorn. Jupiter, the planet of hope, expansion, opportunities, and good fortune, retrograde at 19 degrees Capricorn, brings opportunities for anyone born around the tenth of any month, especially January, April, May, July, September, and October and for any planets and points in your horoscope around 19 degrees.

Saturn, retrograde at 27 degrees Capricorn, is likely bringing additional pressures along with tests, trials, delays, losses, and harsh realities for anyone born around the eighteenth of April, June, July, August, and October and anyone with points or planets around 27 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.

Uranus at 10.5 degrees Taurus brings significant shifts, changes, adjustments, breakthroughs, and even shocks for a Taurus born around May 01 and anyone with planets and points around 10 degrees Taurus. Uranus is also likely creating significant shifts, changes, adjustments, and even shocks for those born around January 31, May 01, July 31, October 01, October 31, and December 01 as well as for anyone with planets and points around 10 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius.

Neptune retrograde at 20.5 degrees Pisces brings opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality and/or deception, confusion, weakness, and even illnesses and debilitating conditions for anyone born around the tenth of March, June, August, September, October, and December and anyone with planets and points around 20 degrees Pisces. Neptune in Pisces is also creating opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality for a Cancer born around July 10 and a Scorpio born around November 10.

Pluto retrograde at 23 degrees Capricorn is a potentially positive influence for a Capricorn born around January 14 and a potentially challenging and transformative period for an Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Libra born around the fourteenth of the month and anyone with planets or points around 23 degrees of the above signs.

Lunar Aspects with Moon in Taurus

The lunar (Moon) aspects listed below are in effect for hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Time given. They can be quite relevant for right timing, that is, choosing to start or initiate a meeting, decision, project, or trip, for example, at a favorable time.

Sunday, August 09

09:27 PM Moon entered Taurus, where it remains until Wednesday morning when it enters the next sign, Gemini.

Monday, August 10

08:21 AM - (Moon in Taurus 45 Neptune in Pisces) opportunities for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation, and highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. However, this aspect increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion and is not ideal for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.

07:04 PM + - (Moon in Taurus 00 Uranus in Taurus) this once a month lunar aspect brings opportunities for increased instincts, willfulness, and aspirations regarding anything new, different, exciting, and adventuresome. However, this aspect also brings nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, volatility, and emotionally charged situations.

09:11 PM + (Moon in Taurus 90 Mercury in Leo) opportunities for perception, thoughtfulness, communication, and writing because this aspect creates a more active mind.

11:11 PM + (Moon in Taurus 45 Node in Gemini) opportunities for connecting with people via networking, social interactions, and alliances with groups large and small.

Tuesday, August 11

11:14 AM + (Moon in Taurus 45 Venus in Cancer) opportunities for cooperation, cheerfulness, affections, pleasantries, gracefulness, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially involving females.

11:51 PM + (Moon in Taurus 120 Jupiter in Capricorn) opportunities for any interpersonal situation, including meetings and working with the public. This lunar aspect also increases the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive attitudes, shared feelings, and uplifting emotional support.

12:44 PM - (Moon in Taurus 90 Sun in Leo) the exact time for the square aspect between the Sun and Moon described at the top of this newsletter.

08:03 PM + (Moon in Taurus 120 Pluto in Capricorn) brings opportunities for psychic impressions and being more in touch with your deeper feelings and emotions.

Wednesday, August 12

03:54 AM + (Moon in Taurus 120 Saturn in Capricorn) opportunities for orderly, steady, conscientious, pragmatic, and realistic plans and activities.

03:54 AM Moon in Taurus Void until 09:45 AM when it enters the next sign, Gemini.

This Void is almost six hours, so take note because during Void periods, there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

Guidelines for Using This Information

These newsletters are not your typical sun sign column. They provide much more information and guidance, but with so many factors presented, it can be difficult to sort everything out, even for astrology students. I try to keep everything as clear and straightforward as possible.

Keep in mind that these newsletters do not intend to tell you what will happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can plan your life more wisely. It is often apparent which time frames are better than others for timing the start of a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event.

The times given are for the Eastern Time Zone, so you need to adjust the times for where you live. For example, if you live in on the West Coast, there is a three-hour difference, which means you need to subtract three hours.

The plus (+) lunar aspects are favorable. The minus (-) lunar aspects are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - lunar aspect, which means that aspect can exhibit positive and negative influences.

The most critical factor with right timing is what is occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope. However, if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you can better time your decisions and activities.

The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try: the better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference with important decisions and events.

During Void periods, there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon is in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.

The traits and qualities I assign to the signs in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality. However, the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, dozens of factors besides one's sun sign need to be considered.

To know what’s going on in your horoscope, and to make better decisions at better times, contact me. We will schedule a private consultation at my office or on the phone, so you can know more about your future and better understand the issues and opportunities in your life as well as your relationships, job, career, education, finances, children, parents, travel, health, location, retirement, karma, and purpose in life.
