Coronavirus Realities
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Timing Report
Moon in the fire sign Leo from Monday afternoon until Wednesday evening boosts Leo, and to a lesser degree, the other fire signs, Aries and Sagittarius. Moon in Leo also helps any planets and points you have in Leo and should bring together more things for Leo on a short-term basis.
Within the context of social distancing, Moon in Leo also supports anyone’s involvement with Leo-related activities such as romance and courtship; connecting more with children and loved ones; fun, parties, entertainment, hobbies, and recreation; theater, art, and creative endeavors; wherever leadership and self-assurance can be applied; being on stage and projecting your confidence; and what is dramatic, glamorous, and in the public limelight.
Coronavirus Realities
In my last newsletter, I highlighted the challenging Sun opposite Saturn aspect, which became exact today. I explained that negative Saturn aspects tend to create blocks, delays, frustrations, difficulties, obstacles, and often harsh realities. And I stated that this formation would bring a sharp focus to many issues, including the coronavirus. The articles below from today’s newspapers confirmed the realities about the coronavirus. The news was not good.
“Hong Kong, India, South Africa record surges in new infections. The coronavirus pandemic has found fresh legs around the world, as confirmed deaths pass 600,000, and countries from the U.S. to South Africa to India struggle to contain a surge of new infections. Hong Kong issued tougher new rules on wearing face masks, Spain closed beaches, and Germany reported another outbreak at a slaughterhouse.”
“The bigger economic danger by far posed by the pandemic debt is that it will remain precisely that – debt. The U.S. thus finds itself stuck in a debt trap, alongside the rest of the world. Economists at the Bank for International Settlements coined that term to describe a situation in which prolonged low interest rates induce the accumulation of so much unproductive government and private debt that to raise taxes would risk a catastrophic financial system or fiscal crisis.”
“The spiraling pandemic and the increasingly virulent politics around Washington’s handling of the novel coronavirus are raising the pressure on Senate Republicans as they try to craft a fresh coronavirus relief package. As the Senate returns this week for a three-week sprint before the August break, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is facing competing demands from President Trump and Republican senators, including some who are up for reelection in states hit hard by the virus and are coming under withering attacks by Democratic challengers over the pandemic.”
“America is careening towards an economic cliff. The resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic is clearly beginning to bite the economies of many states, and deeper recessionary forces are taking hold. Eviction moratoriums are set to end in many states at the end of the month, and 28 million people could become homeless in a matter of weeks. Perhaps most importantly, the huge boost to unemployment insurance that Congress passed as part of the CARES Act is going to expire on July 25 — sucking billions of dollars of spending out of the economy and driving millions more Americans into destitution.”
“Locally, about 45,000 residents face utility shut offs, and the numbers are likely to climb dramatically as stimulus runs out. After a months-long pause due to the coronavirus pandemic, local utilities are gearing up to resume disconnections for customers who haven’t paid their bills. That means more than 45,000 residents behind on their bills could soon be at risk of losing power or water at a time when many are struggling to find work or pay their rent, based on figures released by the largest utilities in the area. Those numbers are likely to climb when coronavirus-related relief measures, such as the $600 weekly unemployment compensation boost authorized under the CARES Act, expire soon.”
“Winning streak fades for cites as anger over policing and strained budgets pack a triple punch. During the past quarter-century, many American cities flourished as crime tumbled and educated young workers moved to revitalized down towns, changing the economic and political landscape of the nation. Three major shocks now threaten to upend that urban renaissance: The coronavirus is preying on densely packed places; anger over policing is producing social unrest reminiscent of earlier eras; and strained city and state budgets could prolong their economic pain. Extended lockdowns have drained cities of the energy, charm, and financial promise that drew so many in the first place, and underlined the weaknesses, inconveniences, and risks. With remote technology facilitating work from home for many, some New Yorkers have already decamped to suburbs. Cities aren’t likely to come out of the tumult the same.”
Current Sun Sign Factors
The following sign assessments are only “the tip of the iceberg” for what you should know about what is occurring in your horoscope, especially now with the coronavirus dramatically shifting our world as we know it. A complete evaluation of what is happening in your horoscope is far more complex and involved than what any newsletter can present. For example, there are dozens of factors besides your sun sign, such as the transits to all the planets and points in your horoscope. However, merely being aware of the current transits to the position of your Sun and other planets explained in this newsletter can be invaluable because the outer planets (Uranus Neptune Pluto), for example, can create life-altering trends and events. Mars in Aries from June 27 until January 07, 2021, boosts Aries and a lesser degree to the other fire signs, Leo and Sagittarius. During this period, Mars, the planet related to desires, passions, conflicts, urgency, impulsiveness, and stress, will also be challenging Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Capricorn. So contact me or check the planets or points you have in these signs to know when you will likely experience stress and perhaps make mistakes during these six and a half months due to the increased demands, anxiety, and possible conflicts related to these planets and points.
Jupiter, the planet of hope, expansion, opportunities, and good fortune, retrograde at 21.5 degrees Capricorn, brings opportunities for anyone born around the twelfth of any month, especially January, April, May, July, September, and October and for any planets and points in your horoscope around 21 degrees.
Saturn, retrograde at 29 degrees Capricorn, is likely bringing additional pressures along with tests, trials, delays, losses, and harsh realities for anyone born around the twentieth of April, June, July, August, and October and anyone with points or planets around 29 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.
Uranus at 10.5 degrees Taurus brings significant shifts, changes, adjustments, breakthroughs, and even shocks for a Taurus born around May 02 and anyone with planets and points around 10 degrees Taurus. Uranus is also likely creating significant shifts, changes, adjustments, and even shocks for those born around January 31, May 01, July 31, October 01, October 31, and December 01 as well as for anyone with planets and points around 10 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius.
Neptune retrograde at 21 degrees Pisces brings favorable opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality and/or deception, confusion, weakness, and even illnesses and debilitating conditions, for a Pisces born around March 12 and anyone with planets and points around 21 degrees Pisces. Neptune in Pisces is also creating opportunities for healing, inspiration, imagination, creativity, and spirituality for a Cancer born around July 12 and a Scorpio born around November 12.
Pluto retrograde at 23.5 degrees Capricorn is a potentially positive influence for a Capricorn born around January 14 and a potentially challenging and transformative period for an Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Libra born around the fifteenth of the month and anyone with planets or points around 24 degrees of the above signs.
Lunar Aspects with Moon in Leo
The lunar (Moon) aspects listed below are in effect for hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Time given. They can be quite relevant for right timing, that is, choosing to start or initiate a meeting, decision, project, or trip, for example, at a favorable time.
Monday, July 20
04:16 PM Moon entered Leo, where it remains until Thursday afternoon when it enters the next sign, Virgo.
06:27 PM - (Sun in Cancer 180 Saturn in Capricorn) the exact time for the challenging Sun-Saturn aspect highlighted in this and the previous newsletter.
Tuesday, July 21
02:16 AM - (Moon in Leo 135 Neptune in Pisces) opportunities for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation, and highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. However, this aspect increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion and is not ideal for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.
10:21 AM - (Moon in Leo 90 Uranus in Taurus) opportunities for increased instincts, willfulness, and aspirations regarding anything new, different, exciting, and adventuresome. However, this aspect also brings nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, volatility, and emotionally charged situations.
08:27 PM + (Moon in Leo 60 Venus in Gemini) brings opportunities for cooperation, cheerfulness, affections, pleasantries, gracefulness, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially involving females.
Wednesday, July 22
03:58 AM - (Moon in Leo 150 Neptune in Pisces) opportunities for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation, and highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. However, this aspect increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion and is not ideal for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.
04:36 AM (Sun enters Leo) the exact time Sun exits Cancer and enters the next sign, Leo.
04:57 AM + (Moon in Leo 150 Jupiter in Capricorn) opportunities for any interpersonal situation, including meetings and working with the public. This lunar aspect also increases the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive attitudes, shared feelings, and uplifting emotional support.
08:48 AM - (Moon in Leo 150 Pluto in Capricorn) opportunities for digging deeper into your emotions and feelings. However, this aspect can complicate relationships with subtle yet emotionally charged situations, including manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles, although these factors may not be fully realized until later.
05:07 PM - (Moon in Leo 150 Saturn in Capricorn) opportunities for orderly, steady, conscientious, pragmatic, and realistic plans and activities. However, this aspect is challenging because it is emotionally restrictive and can create issues, worries, and differences.
05:49 PM - (Moon in Leo 135 Mars in Aries) opportunities for being bolder and more direct. However, this aspect can magnify feelings, passions, and motivations, and bring upsets, impatience, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions.
05:49 PM Moon in Leo Void until 07:39 PM when it enters the next sign, Virgo.
Guidelines for Using This Information
These newsletters are not your typical sun sign column. They provide much more information and guidance, but with so many factors presented, it can be difficult to sort everything out, even for astrology students. I try to keep everything as clear and straightforward as possible.
Keep in mind that these newsletters do not intend to tell you what will happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can plan for and participate in your life more wisely. It is often obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event.
The times given are for the Eastern Time Zone, so you need to adjust the times for where you live. If you live in on the West Coast, for example, there is a three-hour difference, which means you need to subtract three hours.
The plus (+) lunar aspects are favorable. The minus (-) lunar aspects are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - lunar aspect, which means that aspect can exhibit positive and negative influences.
The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope. However, if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try: the better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference with important decisions and events.
During Void periods, there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.
The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon is in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.
The traits and qualities I assign to the signs in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality. However, the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, there are many factors in a horoscope besides one's sun sign.
