On the Brink

Ed Kluska’s Astrology Timing Report

With tensions brewing in the Middle East and other areas around the world, a significant aspect, Mars 150 Uranus, has been active this past week, and its influence should persist through this coming week, especially with a Full Moon lunar eclipse this Friday.

As highlighted in last Friday’s newsletter, Mars entered Sagittarius, where it remains until February 16. Mars, the energy and initiative planet, will be giving a boost to Sagittarius and a lesser degree to the other fire signs, Aries and Leo. With Mars related to desires, passions, conflicts, urgency, impulsiveness, and stress, Mars in Sagittarius will also be challenging Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, and Pisces. So, check the planets or points you have in these signs to know when during the next seven weeks you will likely experience stress, and perhaps make mistakes, due to the increased demands, anxiety, and possible conflicts related to these planets and points.

The warning on a global level is that Mars 150 Uranus involves a clash between two high-energy planets, which typically brings more excitement, restlessness, impulsiveness, aggravations, and ego battles than usual. The status quo tends to be upset with surprises, unexpected events, turbulent changes, and highly charged situations. It can be like lightning bolts coming out of nowhere, and this time, it is more likely to involve matters ruled by Sagittarius, which includes foreign countries and international affairs.

This dynamic aspect also increases the possibilities for differences, disruptions, outbursts, rage, strife, assaults, attacks, accidents, injuries, violence, explosions, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, extreme weather, electrical storms and blackouts, and battles, suicide bombings, and terrorist acts.

People with a challenging Mars-Uranus aspect in their horoscope are typically bold, courageous, and freedom-loving, but also prone to stubbornness, intolerance, tensions, brutal frankness, rash acts, and accidents and injuries.

This high-energy aspect can play out in many ways, such as with increased violence and accidents, the impeachment hearings in Washington, and the wave of protests erupting across the global stage as highlighted in a USA TODAY article six weeks ago when Mars was square Uranus.

“The escalation of the unrest and protests in Hong Kong coincides with recent mass protests around the world. These protests are not connected and have different causes and aims. However, they are loosely linked thematically in that they concern inequality, political freedoms, corruption and climate change.

In Iran, following a decision by authorities to dramatically raise gas prices, violent protests spread to a reported 100 cities and towns Monday. Iran also imposed a near-total internet blackout over the weekend.

In India, hundreds of students from a New Delhi university on Monday were in a stand-off with police, who stopped their march toward parliament to protest increased student housing fees. Several students were arrested, part of demonstrations that have been going on for more than two weeks.

One month on from protests in Lebanon that have seen hundreds of thousands of people take to the streets in anger over a ruling class that is seen as corrupt and incompetent, the country’s political crisis has intensified.

Security forces in Iraq have killed at least 320 people and wounded thousands as part of the response to anti-government protests linked to corruption and inequality. The unrest began in October.”

For you, it will probably be life as usual, but if you were born around the twenty-third of January, February, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, and November or have planets and points around 02 degrees of Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Aquarius, and Pisces, you should be extra careful and vigilant.

On the plus side, this intense aspect increases the possibilities for courage, determination, virility, and leadership. It represents the fighter and soldier and can generate extra energy and stamina to help you be more productive and achieving. Mars-Uranus aspects also increase the possibilities for profound scientific and technical breakthroughs, which we will probably not know about until much later. Mars activates, and Uranus brings originality, creativity, innovations, and exciting shifts and discoveries with our thoughts and actions.
