Highlights

~ The Sun-Mars-Pluto aspects highlighted in my last two newsletters have peaked. In effect this past week, this complicated planetary combination is related to manipulation, hidden motives, fanaticism, arrogance, subversion, power struggles, and political maneuvering, especially involving men. It also increased the possibilities for extreme weather conditions.

~ Monday 07:14 PM + (Venus in Pisces 90 Jupiter in Sagittarius) this lovely aspect in effect for days favors anyone with planets or points around twenty-three degrees. Venus-Jupiter aspects are one of the most benevolent and prosperous planetary combinations because it involves the two benefic planets, Venus and Jupiter. People with this aspect tend to be happy, sociable, popular, and generous. They have a sense of emotional well-being and a desire to share their good fortune and joy with others, but because this is a square aspect, be careful not to overextend yourself with spending and generosity.

~ Tuesday late afternoon through early Wednesday morning there is a lovely string of lunar aspects.

~ Wednesday 02:01 AM (Mercury enters Aries) where it remains until May 06 when it enters the next sign, Taurus. Mercury in Aries favors Aries and brings communication and intellectual benefits to the house in your horoscope ruled by Aries.

~ Friday 07:12 AM (Full Moon with Sun in Libra 180 Sun in Aries) with anything started near a Full Moon, there is a need to understand and find a middle ground between the needs of the two signs involved because there are significant differences in how they approach life. Furthermore, if you have any planets in opposition in your horoscope, there is a “push and pull” between two primary needs in your life. You are challenged to integrate two inherently different and opposing forces. This Full Moon is a good example. Aries in opposition to Libra symbolizes the battle between the need to do your thing and be true to yourself (Aries) and the need to compromise and be more conscious of the needs of others (Libra).

~ Saturday 04:55 AM (Sun enters Taurus) which aids Taurus, and to a lesser degree, the other Earth signs (Virgo and Capricorn) over the coming month. With the Sun in Taurus, it’s the best time of the year to get your hands dirty because Taurus rules soil, gardening, landscaping, flowers, herbs, horticulture, shrubs, trees, forestry, agriculture, crops, and geology.

~ Saturday 12:11 PM (Venus enters Aries) where it remains until May 14 when it enters the next sign, Taurus. Venus in Aries brings blessings and benefits to Aries, and to a lesser degree, the other fire signs (Leo and Sagittarius), as well as the house in your horoscope ruled by Aries.

Aries

This period is particularly favorable for any activities related to marketing, advertising, and promotion because the fire signs, Aries and Sagittarius, are involved.

Guidelines for Using This Information

I keep this information as clear and straightforward as possible, but even for students of astrology, it can be difficult to sort everything out. There are many factors to consider, and sometimes the overlapping influences are contradictory. You might say this is just like life.

For starts, keep in mind that these newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event, for example.

The factors highlighted at the top of these newesletters are more significance for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (up to a week or more). The lunar (Moon) aspects listed are less significant because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Time given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.

The plus (+) factors are innately more favorable. The minus (-) factors are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - factor which means the aspect can exhibit both positive and negative influences.

The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.

The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.

During Void periods there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.

Note that the traits and qualities I assign to each sign in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality, although at times the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, there are a multitude of factors in a horoscope to consider besides one's sun sign.
