A Busy Weekend

Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter

This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday there are more lunar aspects and clusters than usual and there is this significant factor explained in my last newsletter. Saturn (29-year cycle) and Pluto (250-year cycle) are nearly conjunct in Capricorn, and for the first time in almost 40 years, Sun is square this alignment.

Challenging Sun-Saturn aspects tend to create delays, obstacles, and difficulties. They do not put the odds on your side. Challenging Sun-Pluto aspects tend to create hidden agendas and complicated situations which eventually come back to haunt you. The combination of Sun, Saturn, and Pluto creates intense and complex situations especially involving men in positions of power and authority.

All this is probably not making a big difference in your life, but it is more relevant (for better or worse) for anyone born around the eleventh to fourteenth of January, April, June, July, August, and October and for anyone with points or planets around 20 to 23 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.

Right Timing Examples

When two clients asked me a week ago to pick a good time soon for them to take an important business trip and to launch a promotional campaign, the aspects above were relevant. I explained why this was not an ideal time to initiate new and important activities. At the very least, I recommended that they wait until these aspects were over (Sun-Saturn on Wednesday and Sun-Pluto on Saturday), and perhaps take advantage of the favorable Sun-Jupiter aspect exact on Sunday.

The basic premise with right timing as highlighted in these newsletters is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.

Sun Sign Updates

Venus, the planet of love, affection, and money, at 20 to 23 degrees Pisces benefits the house in your horoscope ruled by Pisces and anyone with planets and points at 20 to 23 degrees Pisces.

Mars, the planet of will, effort, and desire, at 08 to 10 degrees Gemini is likely bringing stress and conflicts for anyone born late February, May, August, October, November, and December as well as for anyone with planets and points at 08 to 10 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Pisces.

Jupiter, the planet of hope, opportunity, and good fortune, “sitting” at 24 degrees Sagittarius, brings opportunities for anyone born around the fifteenth of any month, especially December, and for any planets and points in your horoscope around 24 degrees.

Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn should know that Saturn at 20 degrees Capricorn is likely creating challenges, tests, delays, losses, and realities for anyone born around the eleventh of January, April, June, July, August, and October and for anyone with points or planets around 20 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.

Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius should know that Uranus approaching 02 degrees Taurus is likely creating significant shifts, changes, adjustments, and even shocks for those born early Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius as well as for anyone with planets and points around 02 degrees of the above signs.

Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Pisces should know that Neptune at 17.5 degrees Pisces is likely bringing confusion, deception, and even debilitating situations for anyone born around the eighth of March, June, August, September, October, and December as well as for anyone with planets and points around 18 degrees of the above signs.

Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn should know that Pluto, the planet of transformation and new beginnings at 23 degrees Capricorn, is likely producing significant changes for those born around the fourteenth of January, April, June, July, August, and October, and for anyone with planets or points around 23 degrees of the above signs.

The * Factors

Are significant for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (up to a week or more). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed. The aspects become exact at the Eastern Times listed, but the influences can extend beyond these times.

Saturday 04:06 AM - * (Sun in Aries 90 Pluto in Capricorn) mentioned at the top of this newsletter. In effect this past week, this aspect is related to manipulation, hidden motives, fanaticism, arrogance, subversion, power struggles, and political maneuvering, especially involving men. It also increases the possibilities for extremes with the weather, politics, finances, and military conflicts, for example. There are greater complications and risks with all the issues in Washington and conflicts around the world.

Sunday 09:40 AM + * (Sun in Aries 120 Jupiter in Sagittarius) in effect this past week, this aspect has more fortuitous implications. People with this aspect tend to be positive, confident, healthy, cheerful, recognized, popular, and good with people. Their lives are typically more comfortable and successful than for most people.

The Lunar Aspects

Are less significant than the * factors listed above because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Times given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.

Friday, April 12

06:14 AM + (Moon in Cancer 120 Neptune in Pisces) brings opportunities for right brain activities such as healing, prayer, spirituality, mysticism, meditation, psychic phenomena, daydreaming, imagination, creativity, music, art, and other creative endeavors.

Note the stark differences between the two lunar aspects below peaking at the same time.

11:05 AM + (Moon in Cancer 120 Venus in Pisces) fosters cooperation, cheerfulness, affections, pleasantries, gracefulness, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially involving females.

11:05 AM - (Moon in Cancer 180 Saturn in Capricorn) can create issues, worries, differences, and separative feelings, especially involving females and families.

02:08 PM + (Moon in Cancer 00 Node in Cancer) this once a month lunar aspect favors connecting with people such as networking and reaching out to others because it enhances social interactions as well as any alliances with groups large and small.

Note: the two challenging lunar aspects below occur within a short time.

04:00 PM - (Moon in Cancer 180 Pluto in Capricorn) can create complicated interpersonal situations, especially involving females and family matters. There’s more likely to be subtle yet emotionally charged situations involving manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles although these factors may not be fully realized until later.

04:20 PM - (Moon in Cancer 45 Mars in Gemini) intensifies interpersonal situations and is likely to bring impatience, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions, especially involving females.

Note: the two favorable lunar aspects below occur within a short time.

06:07 PM + (Moon in Cancer 150 Jupiter in Sagittarius) favors meetings, interpersonal situations, and working with the public because it increases the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive attitudes, shared feelings, and uplifting emotional support.

07:32 PM Moon in Cancer Void until 03:50 AM Saturday when it enters the next sign, Leo, where it remains until Monday morning when it enters the next sign, Virgo.

Moon in Leo from now until Monday morning favors Leo and any planets you have in the sign Leo as well as anyone's involvement with Leo-related activities such as romance, courtship, children, and loved ones; fun, hobbies, recreation, art, theater, and creative endeavors; and wherever the natural qualities of leadership and self-assurance can be applied.

06:44 PM + (Moon in Leo 150 Venus in Pisces) favors social interactions because this aspect fosters cooperation, cheerfulness, affections, pleasantries, gracefulness, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially involving females.

6:50 PM - (Moon in Leo 150 Pluto in Capricorn) can create complicated interpersonal situations, especially involving females and family matters. There’s more likely to be subtle yet emotionally charged situations involving manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles although these factors may not be fully realized until later.

08:49 PM + (Moon in Leo 120 Jupiter in Sagittarius) favors interpersonal situations and working with the public because it increases the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive attitudes, shared feelings, and uplifting emotional support.

Guidelines for Using This Information

I keep this information as clear and straightforward as possible, but even for students of astrology, it can be difficult to sort everything out. There are many factors to consider, and sometimes the overlapping influences are contradictory. You might say this is just like life.

For starts, keep in mind that these newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event, for example.

The star (*) factors are more significance for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (up to a week or more). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed.

The lunar (Moon) aspects listed are less significant because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Time given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.

The plus (+) factors for both the * factors and lunar factors are favorable. The minus (-) factors are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - factor which means the aspect can exhibit both positive and negative influences.

The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.

The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.

During Void periods there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.

Note that the traits and qualities I assign to each sign in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality, although at times the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, there are a multitude of factors in a horoscope to consider besides one's sun sign.
