Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter
Overall, the stars are on the plus side the first four days of this week with no challenging * factors. Two significant factors occurred since my last newsletter. Mercury is now five days removed from going direct last Thursday and Mars entered Gemini yesterday. We are heading towards a New Moon in Aries this Friday. Next week will be much more complicated and challenging.
My 2019 Forecast Workshop discussed dozens of topics including the effects of a major aspect, Jupiter in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces, in effect most of this year. The forecast was for increased rain and flooding resulting in many problems including mudslides and crop damage. Neptune rules water, Pisces is ruled by Neptune, and square aspects involving Jupiter tend to magnify and overdo whatever Jupiter touches. I suggested that 2019 would be a good year to be a plumber or to have a business dealing with floods and water damage.
According to the New York Times, “Vast areas of the United States are at risk of flooding this spring, even as Nebraska and other Midwestern states are already reeling from record-breaking late-winter floods. Nearly two-thirds of the lower 48 states will have an elevated risk of some flooding from now until May, and 25 states could experience major or moderate flooding, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The flooding this year could be worse than anything we’ve seen in recent years, even worse than the historic floods of 1993 and 2011. The major flooding this month in Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa and elsewhere is a preview of what we expect throughout the rest of the spring. Some 13 million people could be exposed to major flooding, making this a “potentially unprecedented” flood season, said Edward Clark, director of NOAA’s National Water Center.”
The point is that Mercury in Pisces being retrograde, stationary, and now direct near this Jupiter-Neptune square aspect for the past month increased the effects of this aspect. As a result, hundreds of towns have been flooded, farmers face many repercussions including crop damages, and the price of meat should increase with a report that up to a million calves may have died due to the record rainfalls.
Sun Sign Updates
Venus, the planet of love, affection, and money, at 07 to 11 degrees Pisces benefits the house in your horoscope ruled by Pisces and anyone with planets and points at 07 to 11 degrees Pisces.
Mars, the planet of will, effort, and desire, at 00 to 03 degrees Gemini is likely bringing stress and conflicts for anyone born around the twenty-first to twenty-fourth of February, May, August, October, November, and December as well as for anyone with planets and points at 00 to 03 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Jupiter, the planet of hope, opportunity, and good fortune, “sitting” at 24 degrees Sagittarius, brings opportunities for anyone born around the fifteenth of any month, especially December, and for any planets and points in your horoscope around 24 degrees.
Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn should know that Saturn at 20 degrees Capricorn is likely creating challenges, tests, delays, losses, and realities for anyone born around the eleventh of January, April, June, July, August, and October and for anyone with points or planets around 20 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.

Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Pisces should know that Neptune at 17.5 degrees Pisces is likely bringing confusion, deception, and even debilitating situations for anyone born around the eighth of March, June, August, September, October, and December as well as for anyone with planets and points around 18 degrees of the above signs.
Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn should know that Pluto, the planet of transformation and new beginnings at 23 degrees Capricorn, is likely producing significant changes for those born around the fourteenth of January, April, June, July, August, and October, and for anyone with planets or points around 23 degrees of the above signs.
The * Factors
Are significant for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (up to a week or more). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed. The aspects become exact at the Eastern Times listed, but the influences can extend beyond these times.
Sunday 02:12 AM * (Mars entered Gemini) where it remains until May 15 when it enters the next sign, Cancer. Mars, the energy and initiative planet, gives a boost to Gemini and a lesser degree to the other air signs, Libra and Aquarius. With Mars also related to desires, passions, conflicts, urgency, impulsiveness, and stress, Mars in Gemini will be challenging the mutable signs (Gemini Virgo Sagittarius Pisces). So, check any planet or point you have in the mutable signs to know during the next six weeks when you will more likely experience stress and make mistakes due to the increased demands, anxiety, and possible conflicts related to these planets and points.
Tuesday 05:36 AM + - * (Mercury in Pisces 00 Neptune in Pisces) related to the record floods commented on at the top of this newsletter. This aspect also brings the potential for creativity, imagination, and artistic inspiration, especially occurring in Pisces. A child born during this period could have unusual creative, artistic, and imaginative abilities because this aspect is related to the world of dreams, fantasy, fiction, art, music, movies, drama, and the psychic. However, with this aspect active, you need to be careful with your thinking and assumptions. The imagination associated with Neptune can make things look too good to be true. The effects are subtle but real. Mercury is related to our thoughts and thinking. Neptune is related to imagination and creativity as well as confusion, deception, misrepresentation, faulty reasoning, and a lack of clarity.
The Lunar Aspects
Are less significant than the * factors listed above because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Times given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.
Monday, April 01
10:47 AM Moon enters Pisces where it remains until late Wednesday evening when it enters the next sign, Aries. Moon in Pisces favors Pisces and any planets and points in your horoscope in Pisces. Recall that when the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are adverse aspects currently challenging your horoscope.
Moon in Pisces also favors anyone’s involvement with Pisces–related activities such as music, dance, painting, movies, entertainment, theater, film, drama, poetry, fiction, and photography; helping the needy and less fortunate; and meditation, healing, and other spiritually-related activities.
12:43 PM - (Moon in Pisces 90 Mars in Gemini) intensifies interpersonal situations and is likely to bring impatience, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions, especially involving females. If you are trying to resolve an issue with someone, for example, be aware that volatile emotions are more likely than rational thinking.
Tuesday, April 02
02:31 AM + (Moon in Pisces 00 Venus in Pisces) this lovely once a month lunar aspect favors social interactions because this aspect fosters cooperation, cheerfulness, affections, pleasantries, gracefulness, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially involving females.
Note: the two challenging lunar aspects below have similar qualities and occur within a short period.
07:52 PM - (Moon in Sagittarius 45 Uranus in Taurus) increases instincts and willfulness but can also bring nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, volatility, and emotionally charged situations.
09:24 PM + - (Moon in Sagittarius 00 Neptune in Pisces) this once a month lunar aspect increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion as well as highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. This period is better for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation than for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.
09:58 PM + (Moon in Pisces 00 Mercury in Pisces) this once a month lunar aspect favors reflection, writing, and communication because this lunar aspect creates a more active exchange between the conscious and unconscious minds. This time is especially favorable for writing and creativity because it is in Pisces.
Wednesday, April 03
11:35 AM + (Moon in Pisces 90 Jupiter in Sagittarius) favors meetings, interpersonal situations, and working with the public because it increases the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive attitudes, shared feelings, and uplifting emotional support.
11:35 AM Moon in Pisces Void until 10:56 PM when it enters the next sign, Aries. Moon in Aries from this evening until Saturday morning favors Aries and any planets and points in your horoscope in Aries. With Moon in bold and energized Aries until Saturday morning, it’s more likely a good time to take initiatives and explore new ideas and areas.
Thursday, April 04
A “light” day in the sky with only one lunar aspect.
04:02 AM + (Moon Aries 00 Chiron in Aries) this once a month lunar aspect symbolizes caring females and special opportunities for healing relationships and families.
Guidelines for Using This Information
I keep this information as clear and straightforward as possible, but even for students of astrology, it can be difficult to sort everything out. There are many factors to consider, and sometimes the overlapping influences are contradictory. You might say this is just like life.
For starts, keep in mind that these newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event, for example.
The star (*) factors are more significance for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (up to a week or more). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed.
The lunar (Moon) aspects listed are less significant because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the Eastern Time given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.
The plus (+) factors for both the * factors and lunar factors are favorable. The minus (-) factors are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - factor which means the aspect can exhibit both positive and negative influences.
The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.
During Void periods there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.
The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.
Note that the traits and qualities I assign to each sign in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality, although at times the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, there are a multitude of factors in a horoscope to consider besides one's sun sign.
