Rain and More Rain
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter
This weekend there are no major discordant aspects, but there are several challenging lunar aspects including Moon aligned with Mars and Uranus on Sunday. This does not make Sunday a “bad” day, but you may want to be aware of when these short-term lunar aspects are in effect. On the plus side, both Friday and Saturday evenings feature a lovely lunar aspect.
Rain and More Rain
The weather forecast for Cincinnati for the next two days is sunny and cold, but it seems to have rained almost every day since the beginning of this year including this weather forecast from yesterday, “all of Greater Cincinnati is under a flood watch until Friday, and more rain is on the way. The flood watch will last through Friday morning as up to 3 inches of rain could fall across the area. Flooding could continue even after the rain comes to an end, and it could last through the weekend.”
In my 2019 Forecast Workshop (click here for details), I discussed dozens of topics including the effects of a major aspect, Jupiter in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces, in effect most of this year. One impact from this aspect will be increased rain and flooding resulting in many problems including mudslides and crop damage. Neptune rules water, Pisces is ruled by Neptune, and square aspects from Jupiter tend to magnify and overdo whatever it touches. Therefore, I suggest that 2019 should be a good year to be a plumber or to have a business dealing with floods and water damage.

Friday, February 08
09:33 AM Moon enters Aries where it remains until Sunday evening when it enters the next sign, Taurus. Recall that the Moon remains in a sign for about two and a half days, and when the Moon is in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.
09:21 PM + (Moon in Aries 90 Venus in Capricorn) fosters cooperation, cheerfulness, affections, pleasantries, gracefulness, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially involving females.
Saturday, February 09
05:05 PM - (Moon in Aries 90 Saturn in Capricorn) provides an atmosphere for orderly, steady, conscientious, pragmatic, and realistic plans and activities. However, this lunar aspect can create issues, worries, and differences, especially involving females and families.
05:53 PM + * (Mercury in Aquarius 60 Uranus in Aries) in effect for the past week, this Mercury aspect allows for new and innovative thinking. People with a Mercury-Uranus aspect in their horoscope are independent and free-thinking. They dislike being told what to do and how to do things. They do well in unstructured environments which allow them to make their own decisions and respond to the needs of the moment rather than following a routine and standardized way of doing things. Their minds function in an intuitive, nonlinear fashion and sudden insights and flashes of inspiration often come "out of the blue.” They also have an aptitude for science and new technologies as well as a penchant for astrology and other esoteric sciences.
11:42 PM + (Moon in Aries 120 Jupiter in Sagittarius) a lovely aspect favoring interpersonal situations and working with the public because Moon-Jupiter aspects increase the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive attitudes, shared feelings, and uplifting emotional support.
Sunday, February 10
04:50 AM - (Moon in Aries 90 Pluto in Capricorn) can create complicated interpersonal situations, especially involving females and family matters. There is more likely to be subtle yet highly charged emotional situations involving manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles are more likely although these factors may not be fully realized until later.
05:50 AM + (Mercury enters Pisces) where it remains until April 17 when it enters the next sign, Aries. Mercury is in Pisces longer than usual because it will go retrograde in Pisces on March 05. Mercury in Pisces favors Pisces and brings intellectual benefits to the house in your horoscope ruled by Pisces.
01:39 PM + (Moon in Aries 90 Node in Cancer) favors connecting with people such as networking and reaching out to others because it enhances social interactions as well as any alliances with groups large and small.
03:48 PM + - (Moon in Aries 00 Mars in Aries) intensifies interpersonal situations and is likely to bring impatience, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions, especially involving females. If you are trying to resolve an issue with someone, for example, be aware that upsets and volatile emotions are more likely than rational thinking.
06:47 PM + - (Moon in Aries 00 Uranus in Aries) enhances willfulness and instincts but also brings nervousness, anxiety, upsets, willfulness, restlessness, excitability, volatility, and emotionally charged situations, especially involving females.
07:25 PM - (Moon in Aries 45 Saturn in Capricorn) provides an atmosphere for orderly, steady, conscientious, pragmatic, and realistic plans and activities. However, this lunar aspect can create issues, worries, and differences, especially involving females and families.
07:25 PM Moon in Aries Void until 08:28 PM when it enters the next sign, Taurus.
Guidelines for Using This Information
I keep this information as clear and straightforward as possible, but even for students of astrology, it can be difficult to sort everything out. There are many factors to consider, and sometimes the overlapping influences are contradictory. You might say this is just like life.
For starts, keep in mind that these newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event, for example.
The star (*) factors are more significance for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (often up to a week). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed.
The lunar (Moon) aspects listed are less significant because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the times (Eastern Time) given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.
The plus (+) factors for both the * factors and lunar factors are favorable. The minus (-) factors are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - factor which means the aspect can exhibit both positive and negative influences.
The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.
During Void periods there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.
The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.
Note that the traits and qualities I assign to each sign in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality, although at times the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, there are a multitude of factors in a horoscope to consider besides one's sun sign.
