Bright & Friendly

Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter

With Moon in Libra from last evening until early Sunday morning, the stars are more on the plus side than not. There are two plus * factors and no negative * factors, but be aware of five challenging lunar aspects the next few days. Moon is discordant to Saturn and Neptune on Friday, Mars and Pluto on Saturday, and Uranus early Sunday morning. Recall that the lunar (Moon) aspects listed in these newsletters are less significant than the * factors because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the times (Eastern Time) given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.

Sun Moon Harmony

Sunday Sun entered the air-sign Aquarius, and yesterday Mercury entered Aquarius which benefits Aquarius as well as the house in your horoscope ruled by Aquarius.

And with Moon now in the air-sign Libra, we now have a harmonious Sun-Moon combination. People with a Libra-Aquarius emphasis are typically bright and friendly. Their quick minds and intellectual bent help them in many ways. They require much mental and social stimulation, conversation, and interaction. They like the world of ideas, language, and culture. Their mind is their gift: thinking clearly, logically and creatively, planning and organizing efficiently, and communicating intelligently.

Libra-Aquarius also makes for agreeable friends. They value equality and fairness and try to live up to these ideals in their relationships. Both signs are uncomfortable with neediness, dependency, and emotionalism in themselves and others. They tend to keep their relationships more on a light and intellectual level. Many clients with a Libra-Aquarius emphasis are terrific working with group dynamics, training programs, and the public in general.

Sun Sign Updates

Venus, the planet of love, affection, and money, at 20 degrees Sagittarius benefits anyone born around the eleventh of any month, especially December, and anyone with planets and points at 20 degrees of any sign.

Mars, the planet of effort and desire, at 17 degrees Aries is likely bringing stress and conflicts for anyone born around the eighth of January, July, September, October, and November and anyone with planets or points at 17 degrees of Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Capricorn.

Jupiter, the planet of hope, expansion, and good fortune, approaching 17 degrees Sagittarius, brings opportunities for anyone born around the eighth of any month, especially December, and for any planets and points in your horoscope around 17 degrees.

Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn should know that Saturn at 14 degrees Capricorn is likely creating challenges, tests, delays, losses, and realities for anyone born around the fifth of April, June, July, August, and October and for anyone with points or planets around 14 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.

07:48 AM + * (Moon in Libra 120 Sun in Aquarius) a description of this harmonious Sun-Moon relationship is at the top of this newsletter.

12:53 PM + * (Mars in Aries 120 Jupiter in Sagittarius) this terrific aspect occurs about once a year and is in effect for more than a week. Related to victory and success, it supports any new idea or venture. People with this aspect have the drive and courage to make their visions a reality. They innately feel confident and optimistic doing whatever they need to do.

11:10 PM - (Moon in Libra 90 Saturn in Capricorn) provides an atmosphere for orderly, steady, conscientious, pragmatic, and realistic plans and activities. However, this lunar aspect can create issues, worries, and differences, especially involving females and families.

11:54 PM - (Moon in Libra 150 Neptune in Pisces) increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion as well as highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. This period is better for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation than for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.

Saturday, January 26

03:55 AM - (Moon in Libra 180 Mars in Aries) intensifies interpersonal situations and is likely to bring impatience, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions, especially involving females. If you are trying to resolve an issue with someone, for example, be aware that upsets and volatile emotions are more likely than rational thinking.

11:30 AM - (Moon in Libra 90 Pluto in Capricorn) can create complicated interpersonal situations, especially involving females and family matters. There is more likely to be subtle yet highly charged emotional situations involving manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles are more likely although these factors may not be fully realized until later.

08:42 PM + (Moon in Libra 90 Node in Cancer) favors connecting with people such as networking and reaching out to others because it enhances social interactions as well as any alliances with groups large and small.

Sunday, January 27

12:20 AM - (Moon in Libra 180 Uranus in Aries) enhances instincts and willfulness but also intensifies everything by bringing nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, and emotionally charged situations.

02:06 AM Moon in Libra Void until 02:30 AM when it enters the next sign, Scorpio.

Guidelines for Using This Information

I keep this information as clear and straightforward as possible, but even for students of astrology, it can be difficult to sort everything out. There are many factors to consider, and sometimes the overlapping influences are contradictory. You might say this is just like life.

For starts, keep in mind that these newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event, for example.

The star (*) factors are more significance for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (often up to a week). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed.

The lunar (Moon) aspects listed are less significant because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the times (Eastern Time) given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.

The plus (+) factors for both the * factors and lunar factors are favorable. The minus (-) factors are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - factor which means the aspect can exhibit both positive and negative influences.

The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.

The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.

During Void periods there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.

Note that the traits and qualities I assign to each sign in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality, although at times the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, there are a multitude of factors in a horoscope to consider besides one's sun sign.
