Much Better
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter
As explained in my last two newsletters, “The Storm” and “An Intense Week”, this past week was more challenging in the sky than it has been in a while. Most of you were probably fine, but for those facing important issues and decisions, and those experiencing problematic patterns in their horoscope, the week was likely a test.
Whenever two or more significant and challenging aspects occur in a short period, matters become more intense and issues are forced to a head. In this case, among other things, it was the extreme weather, all those stuck at airports, all the accidents and injuries, and the gridlock in Washington, DC.
Two challenging aspects dominated the sky. On Friday Sun-Uranus peaked, and earlier this morning a nasty Mars-Saturn aspect became exact. To top it all off, there was a Super Lunar Eclipse this morning at midnight EST.
The good news is that the aspects in the sky are more favorable starting later this evening including one of the most benevolent planetary combinations, Venus conjunct Jupiter, which occurs once a year and is exact early tomorrow morning.
All this does not mean that everything was tense and supposed to go wrong this past week, and now everything will be fine. It means that according to the principles of right timing featured in these newsletters, it’s now a better time for most people to act than it was this past week.
Choosing the best times to act and make decisions is much more complicated than what I can present these newsletters. There are many other factors to consider such as what is occurring in your horoscope. Last week may have been an excellent time for you and your horoscope, and this week not so much.

Monday, January 21
08:46 PM - (Moon in Leo 150 Saturn in Capricorn) provides an atmosphere for orderly, steady, conscientious, pragmatic, and realistic plans and activities, but this lunar aspect does create issues, worries, and differences, especially involving females and families.
09:59 PM - (Moon in Leo 150 Neptune in Pisces) increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion as well as highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. This period is better for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation than for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.
11:43 PM + (Moon in Leo 120 Venus in Sagittarius) fosters cooperation, cheerfulness, affections, pleasantries, gracefulness, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially involving females.
Tuesday, January 22
12:11 AM + (Moon in Leo 120 Jupiter in Sagittarius) favors interpersonal situations and working with the public because this lunar aspect increases the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive attitudes, shared feelings, and uplifting emotional support.
01:47 AM + * (Mercury in Capricorn 180 Node in Cancer) favors communications and connecting with others such as networking because it enhances social interactions as well as any alliances with groups large and small.
07:35 AM + * (Venus in Sagittarius 00 Jupiter in Sagittarius) this lovely aspect favors Sagittarius and the house in your horoscope ruled by Sagittarius. In effect this past week, this is one of the most benevolent and prosperous planetary combinations because it involves the two-main benefic planet, Venus and Jupiter. People with this harmonious aspect tend to be happy, sociable, popular, and generous. They have a sense of emotional well-being and a desire to share their good fortune and joy with others. If you don't overextend yourself, this is an excellent time to indulge your feelings of kindness and good will towards others as well as towards yourself.
08:35 AM - (Moon in Leo 150 Pluto in Capricorn) can create complicated interpersonal situations, especially involving females and family matters. There is more likely to be subtle yet highly charged emotional situations involving manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles although these factors may not be fully realized until later.
07:07 PM + (Moon in Leo 150 Mercury in Capricorn) favors reflection, writing, and communication because this lunar aspect creates a more active exchange between the conscious and unconscious minds.
08:19 PM + (Moon in Leo 120 Uranus in Aries) brings opportunities for instincts, intuition, and forward-looking aspirations especially regarding anything that is new, different, exciting, and adventuresome especially because it involves the fire signs, Aries and Leo.
08:42 PM and 10:11 PM (Moon in Leo makes minor aspects to both Mars and Saturn in a short period) which can create some frustrations, emotional tensions, and minor irritations.
10:11 PM Moon in Leo Void until 10:21 PM when it enters the next sign, Virgo.
Guidelines for Using This Information
I keep this information as clear and straightforward as possible, but even for students of astrology, it can be difficult to sort everything out. There are many factors to consider, and sometimes the overlapping influences are contradictory. You might say this is just like life.
For starts, keep in mind that these newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event, for example.
The star (*) factors are more significance for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (often up to a week). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed.
The lunar (Moon) aspects listed are less significant because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the times (Eastern Time) given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.
The plus (+) factors for both the * factors and lunar factors are favorable. The minus (-) factors are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - factor which means the aspect can exhibit both positive and negative influences.
The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.
During Void periods there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.
The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.
Note that the traits and qualities I assign to each sign in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality, although at times the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, there are a multitude of factors in a horoscope to consider besides one's sun sign.
