Calm Before a Storm

Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter

The next three days are harmonious with one plus * factor and a string of positive lunar aspects. However, two challenging and stress-producing * factors are now in play. Sun square Uranus is exact this Friday and Mars square Saturn is exact next Tuesday.

So, although the stars are now harmonious, a storm is brewing which means this may not be the best time for major decisions such as starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase. When there are significant challenging aspects in the sky, the chances of success can be significantly reduced no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. This is what these newsletters are about. Among other things, they attempt to give you a perspective on right timing.

Moon in Taurus

Moon in Taurus from early this afternoon until Wednesday evening favors Taurus and any planets and points in your horoscope in Taurus. Moon in Taurus also favors anyone’s involvement with Taurus-related activities such as work requiring patient, persistent, and steady efforts; focusing on money and financial matters; and the arts such as singing, painting, and designing.

A Solid & Productive Combination

With Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Taurus, we have two earth signs which bring opportunities for practicality, efficiency, and productivity. Taurus and Capricorn is probably the most stable, dependable, and pragmatic sign combination in the zodiac. It’s terrific for the business and professional world such as owning or operating a business. Capricorn strives for worldly accomplishments, and Taurus supports such efforts with their steady and productive nature.

Anyone with these two signs emphasized in their horoscope or any relationship with this emphasis can be counted on to build something substantial, worthwhile, and sustainable over a long period. Taurus does not budge from wanting everything to be set and calm, and Capricorn works long and hard for emotional and financial security. Both signs are related to money and finances.

Taurus and Capricorn are not the most flexible signs, and they do not have the flair and spontaneity of the fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius), for example, but they can be counted on to get the job done and bring value to whatever task or project they are involved with.

Sun Sign Updates

Venus, the planet of love, affection, and money, at 08 degrees Sagittarius benefits anyone born around the twenty-ninth of any month, especially November, and anyone with planets and points at 08 degrees of any sign.

Mars, the planet of effort and desire, at 10 degrees Aries is likely bringing stress and conflicts for anyone born around the thirtieth of June, August, September, October, and December and anyone with planets or points at 10 degrees of Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Capricorn.

Jupiter, the planet of hope, expansion, and good fortune, at 15 degrees Sagittarius, brings opportunities for anyone born around the sixth of any month, especially December, and for any planets and points in your horoscope around 15 degrees.

Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn should know that Saturn at 13 degrees Capricorn is likely creating challenges, tests, delays, losses, and realities for anyone born around the fourth of April, June, July, August, and October and for anyone with points or planets around 13 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.

Guidelines for Using This Information

I keep this information as clear and straightforward as possible, but even for students of astrology, it can be difficult to sort everything out. There are many factors to consider, and sometimes the overlapping influences are contradictory. You might say this is just like life.

For starts, keep in mind that these newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event, for example.

The star (*) factors are more significance for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (often up to a week). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed.

The lunar (Moon) aspects listed are less significant because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the times (Eastern Time) given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.

The plus (+) factors for both the * factors and lunar factors are favorable. The minus (-) factors are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - factor which means the aspect can exhibit both positive and negative influences.

The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.

The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.

During Void periods there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.

Note that the traits and qualities I assign to each sign in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality, although at times the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, there are a multitude of factors in a horoscope to consider besides one's sun sign.
