Early This Week
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter
For early this week the astrological factors are less numerous and significant than my last newsletter. There are few lunar aspects, and there are only two * factors: Venus moves from Scorpio to Sagittarius today, and Mercury squares Mars tomorrow. This Mercury aspect, in effect the past week, can bring intense discussions, heated disputes, and conflicting perspectives both in your life and in Washington DC.
Moon in Aquarius from early this morning until Wednesday afternoon favors Aquarius and any planets and points in your horoscope in Aquarius. Moon in Aquarius also favors any Aquarius-related activity such as analyzing, observing, questioning, experimenting, investigating, inventing, and reforming; exploring what’s new, novel, unusual, progressive, and nonconforming; science, engineering, high-tech, computers, electronics, inventions, and aviation; and working with clubs, organizations, and special interest groups for equality, democracy, public good, human rights, and philanthropy.
Capricorn Aquarius Differences
With Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Aquarius, it’s worth inspecting the similarities and differences between these two signs. For starts, people with a Capricorn-Aquarius emphasis are more cool, logical, and objective than other sign combinations which makes for a good analyst, researcher, and scientist often at the cost of being out of touch with one's feelings and emotions.
Capricorn can repress emotions and be afraid of being vulnerable or dependent. Aquarius operates actively on the intellectual side and can also be less in touch with emotional needs. Their opposite signs, Leo and Cancer, are more comfortable with the world of feelings and emotions.
Furthermore, the ingrained attitudes and perspective of Capricorn and Capricorn are at odds. Capricorn is the traditionalist who believes more in the system and cherishes stability and consistency. It is more cautious about venturing into unknown territory or changing the standard, tried-and-true ways of doing things. Aquarius, on the other hand, can be the maverick who likes to overturn and shake things up. It has an independent nature that resists being dictated to by society, conventions, customs, and authorities. The urge to break from the past and to embrace what’s new and different is a part of their makeup.
In the end, Capricorn-Aquarius is an intelligent, ambitious, and career-oriented combination, and if handled wisely, the differences between them can be complementary. Many clients with this emphasis have successful business–related careers which combine business planning and management (Capricorn) with computers, science, innovations, and technology (Aquarius).

Guidelines for Using This Information
I keep this information as clear and straightforward as possible, but even for students of astrology, it can be difficult to sort everything out. There are many factors to consider, and sometimes the overlapping influences are contradictory. You might say this is just like life.
For starts, keep in mind that these newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event, for example.
The star (*) factors are more significance for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (often up to a week). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed.
The lunar (Moon) aspects listed are less significant because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the times (Eastern Time) given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.
The plus (+) factors for both the * factors and lunar factors are favorable. The minus (-) factors are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - factor which means the aspect can exhibit both positive and negative influences.
The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.
During Void periods there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.
The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.
Note that the traits and qualities I assign to each sign in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality, although at times the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, there are a multitude of factors in a horoscope to consider besides one's sun sign.
