Plus & Minus Weekend
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter
With Moon in Libra from Saturday morning until Monday afternoon, it’s a good time to be more Libra-like by reaching out to people and being more social, interactive, and accommodating.
The Good News
With Sun in Sagittarius and Moon in Libra, we have one of the friendliest sign combinations this weekend. Hopefully, this will lend to good times for you socially. The other “friendly” sign combinations are Gemini and Leo, Leo and Libra, and Sagittarius and Aquarius.
Sagittarius and Libra are harmonious. The fire in Sagittarius warms the mental and social skills of the air-sign Libra, and the air in Libra spreads the enthusiastic and optimistic nature of the fire-sign Sagittarius.
Both Sagittarius and Libra are extroverts by nature. They are more outgoing, direct, and friendly than cunning and secretive. They want to reach out to people and form friendships and social connections. They enjoy socializing and each other's company immensely.
Professionally, Sagittarius-Libra is a terrific combination for any career involving working with the public and public relations (Libra) for a cause or purpose (Sagittarius) or with advertising, marketing, and promotion (Sagittarius), for example.
The Not So Good News
Through Monday afternoon, there are five challenging lunar aspects which is more than usual. One on Saturday, three on Sunday, and one on Monday. More significant is the intense, volatile, and war-like Sun-Mars * factor in effect this past week which brings the potential for hastiness, stubbornness, and ego battles, especially involving males. This aspect can also bring disputes, differences, intolerance, and heightened differences, and typically coincides with accidents, aggression, violence, attacks, escalated military tensions, extreme weather conditions, and natural disasters such as today’s earthquake in Alaska.
This newsletter covers these aspects and other relevant factors.

Saturday, December 01
09:48 AM Moon enters Libra which boosts the air signs (Gemini Libra Aquarius) especially Libra and any planets and points in your horoscope in Libra.
11:44 PM - (Moon in Libra 90 Saturn in Capricorn) can create issues, worries, and differences, especially involving females and families. People with this lunar aspect are typically responsible, hard-working, and conscientious, but can also be lonely, melancholic, and find it difficult to express their feelings and emotions.
Sunday, December 02
03:58 AM - (Moon in Libra 150 Mars in Pisces) intensifies interpersonal situations and can bring impatience, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions. If you are trying to resolve an issue with someone, for example, be aware that volatile emotions are more likely than rational thinking.
09:53 AM - (Moon in Libra 150 Neptune in Pisces) can create strange and peculiar feelings and interactions, especially involving females, and increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion as well as highly refined artistic and spiritual attitudes and aspirations. This period is better for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation than for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.
12:01 PM * (Venus enters Scorpio) where it remains until January 07 when it enters the next sign, Sagittarius. Venus in Scorpio brings blessings and benefits to Scorpio and the other water signs (Cancer and Pisces) as well as the house in your horoscope ruled by Scorpio.
07:34 PM - * (Sun in Sagittarius 90 Mars in Pisces) this twice a year aspect has been in effect this past week and can bring effects days afterward. As noted above, this solar aspect brings the potential for hastiness, stubbornness, and ego battles, especially involving males. This aspect can also bring disputes, differences, intolerance, and heightened differences, and typically coincides with accidents, aggression, violence, attacks, escalated military tensions, extreme weather conditions, and natural disasters such as today’s earthquake in Alaska.
With this aspect in effect, it’s more appropriate to be patient and tolerant than to be pushy and demanding which may only antagonize others. On the plus side, this aspect generates much energy, willpower, and determination which, if directed properly, can help you be more competitive, productive, and achieving.
08:29 PM - (Moon in Libra 90 Pluto in Capricorn) can create complicated interpersonal situations, especially involving females. Subtle yet highly charged emotional situations involving manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles are more likely although these factors are often not fully realized until later.
Monday, December 03
11:02 AM + (Moon in Libra 90 Node in Cancer) favors networking and reaching out to others because this aspect enhances social interactions as well as any connections or alliances with groups large and small.
01:15 PM - (Moon in Libra 180 Uranus in Aries) enhances instincts and willfulness but also brings nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, and emotionally charged situations.
01:15 PM AM Moon in Libra Void until 02:54 PM when it enters the next sign, Scorpio.
Guidelines for Using This Information
I keep this information as clear and straightforward as possible, but even for students of astrology, it can be difficult to sort everything out. There are many factors to consider, and sometimes the overlapping influences are contradictory. You might say this is just like life.
For starts, keep in mind that these newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event, for example.
The star (*) factors are more significance for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (often up to a week). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed.
The lunar (Moon) aspects listed are less significant because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the times (Eastern Time) given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.
The plus (+) factors for both the * factors and lunar factors are favorable. The minus (-) factors are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes there is a + and - factor which means the aspect can exhibit both positive and negative influences.
The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.
During Void periods there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.
The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are significant aspects currently challenging your horoscope.
Note that the traits and qualities I assign to each sign in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality, although at times the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, there are a multitude of factors in a horoscope to consider besides one's sun sign.
