Moon in Sagittarius Weekend
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter
Moon in Sagittarius from this evening until Monday morning is good for Sagittarius and for everyone in terms of Sagittarius-related matters such as: feeling more optimistic and forward-looking; sports, athletics, and outdoor activities; books, knowledge, and academics; promotion, advertising, and marketing; and foreign and international matters.
The best time frame is Sunday morning when there's a cluster of favorable aspects aligned.
There is only one * factor, and it's a plus, but Mars square Uranus peaking next Tuesday continues to dominate the sky as explained in my last two newsletters. This powerful planetary combination is in effect for a week and is relevant to all the effects and aftereffects of Hurricane Florence as well as other stressful situations.
It should keep us on alert because this aspect increases the possibilities for outbursts, rage, strife, assaults, attacks, accidents, injuries, violence, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, extreme weather, electrical storms and blackouts, and battles, suicide bombings, and terrorist acts.
Sun Sign Updates
Venus, the planet of love, affection, and money, at 03 and 04 degrees Scorpio is benefitting anyone born around the third and fourth degrees of any sign, especially Scorpio.
Mars, the planet of effort and desire, at 01 Aquarius is likely bringing stress and conflicts for anyone born around the beginning of Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, and Aquarius and for anyone with planets or points at 01 degrees of the same signs.
Jupiter, the planet of hope, expansion, and good fortune, at 19 degrees Scorpio, is bringing opportunities for anyone born around the tenth of any month and for any planets and points in your horoscope around 19 degrees.
Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn should be aware that Saturn retrograde at 02.5 degrees Capricorn is likely creating challenges, tests, delays, losses, and realities for anyone born around the twenty-third of March, May, June, July, September, and December and for anyone with points or planets around 03 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.
Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius should be aware that Uranus retrograde at 02 degrees Taurus may be creating significant shifts, changes, adjustments, and even shocks for those born early in these signs as well as for anyone with planets and points around 02 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius.
Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Pisces should know that Neptune retrograde at 15 degrees Pisces is possibly bringing confusion, deception, and even debilitating situations for anyone born around the sixth of March, June, August, September, October, and December as well as for anyone with planets and points around 15 degrees of these signs.
Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn should be aware that Pluto, the planet of transformation and new beginnings retrograde at 19 degrees Capricorn, is likely producing significant changes for those born around the tenth of January, April, June, July, August, and October, and for anyone with planets or points around 19 degrees of the same signs.
Friday, September 14
08:44 PM Moon was Void today from 04:53 AM until this time when it enters Sagittarius where it remains until Monday morning.
With Sun nearing the end of the mutable earth–sign Virgo and Moon in the mutable fire-sign Sagittarius, we have two signs with very different approaches to life. Virgo tends to focus on the trees (a narrower viewpoint) while Sagittarius is interested more in the forest (a wider viewpoint).
Virgo represents our immediate physical reality: the routines, habits, and details of everyday life. Sagittarius is related to concepts and the bigger picture. It is hopes and ideals projections into the future. It’s more about global perspective and longer-range goals.
Virgo is more critical and negative (testing everyone and everything as it looks for faults and flaws with skepticism). Sagittarius is more positive and optimistic (trusting in life and looking for the best in people and situations).
Virgo is the 9-to-5 dedicated worker focused on duties and responsibilities. Sagittarius is the risk taker with high hopes and far-reaching wishes. It’s more abstract and explorative. The gambler, wheeler-dealer looking for more somewhere else.
If Virgo and Sagittarius are of emphasis in your horoscope or a relationship, there are checks and balances. The critical and functional nature of Virgo can temper and stabilize the exuberant, lofty, and at times unrealistic plans of Sagittarius. Moreover, the need for Sagittarius to grow and explore far and wide can edge Virgo to see a bigger picture beyond the limited perspective of what needs to be done today.
09:40 PM + (Moon in Sagittarius 120 Chiron in Aries) offers positive opportunities for any social gatherings or interactions, especially involving women and family.
Saturday, September 15
12:29 AM - (Moon in Sagittarius 150 Uranus in Taurus) can create highly charged situations, especially involving females and family matters. There can be an increase in one’s instincts and motivations, but also more willfulness, restlessness, excitability, bluntness, and impatience. If you are in the middle of an intense conversation, for example, keep in mind how highly charged the situation can become. Don’t overreact or else matters may quickly get out of hand.
10:53 PM + * (Mercury in Virgo 120 Pluto in Capricorn) this positive aspect is in effect this past week. People with this aspect have deep and penetrating minds and are interested in anything secret, mysterious, or hidden, including the deeper aspects of the human psyche. They possess an aptitude for private investigation, psychology, and research, and are drawn to esoteric studies.
Sunday, September 16
01:12 AM - (Moon in Sagittarius 90 Neptune Pisces) can create strange and peculiar feelings and interactions, especially involving females. This lunar aspect increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion as well as highly refined artistic and spiritual attitudes and aspirations. This period is better for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation than for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.
03:46 AM - (Moon in Sagittarius 45 Mars in Aquarius) intensifies everything including interpersonal situations. There is more likely to be impatience, intensity, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions.
05:18 AM - (Moon in Sagittarius 135 Uranus in Taurus) can create highly charged situations, especially involving females and family matters. There can be an increase in one’s instincts and motivations, but also more willfulness, restlessness, excitability, bluntness, and impatience.
From 06:00 AM to 11:00 AM ++ (six favorable aspects involving Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Node) provides an excellent opportunity for communication and social interaction with an atmosphere of positivity, cheerfulness, and confidence.
Note how this alignment of favorable aspects contrasts the previous two challenging lunar aspects.
07:14 PM Moon Void until Monday morning at 07:07 AM when it enters the next sign Capricorn where it remains until Wednesday evening when it enters the next sign, Aquarius.
Guidelines for This Information
I keep this information as clear and straightforward as possible, but even for students of astrology, it can be difficult to sort everything out. There are many factors to consider, and sometimes the overlapping influences are contradictory. You might say this is just like life.
For starts, keep in mind that these newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possible influences you can expect around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event, for example.
The star (*) factors are more significance for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (often up to a week). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed.
The lunar (Moon) aspects listed are less significant because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the times (Eastern Time) given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.
The plus (+) factors for both the * factors and lunar factors are favorable. The minus (-) factors are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties.
The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.
With Void periods, there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, during Void periods it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.
The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are now significant challenging aspects in your horoscope.
Note that the traits and qualities I assign to each sign in these newsletters describe more the functions and meanings of the signs versus trying to describe your personality, although at times the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, there are dozens of factors in a horoscope to consider besides one's sun sign.
