Mercury Direct Weekend

Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter

There are two significant * factors this weekend, Mercury Direct and Jupiter 120 Neptune. Both become exact Sunday morning.

Mercury Direct--you are likely experiencing shifts and changes with your plans, decisions, negotiations, projects, and relationships. The choices you made and the plans you started with Mercury retrograde are now seen in a different light as unforeseen assumptions and mistakes "come to light” because Mercury, the planet ruling thinking and communication, is changing direction relative to the earth’s movement.

Also, when Mercury approaches direct, strange and peculiar things tend to happen, but then they often seem to resolve themselves almost “mysteriously.” All this does not mean that by Sunday afternoon everything will suddenly be fine and dandy for you and the world. Nor does this mean that everything was supposed to go wrong and be problematic this past month when Mercury was retrograde. Unfortunately, many people believe that when Mercury is retrograde, everything is supposed to go wrong.

Jupiter 120 Neptune–-is a wonderful aspect in effect the past ten months. This significant outer-planet aspect occurs about once every four years. Its effects began last October when Jupiter entered Scorpio, and then became exact December 02, May 25, and for the final time this Sunday.

As explained in my workshops, this aspect explains the expansion (Jupiter) of all the news involving meditation, mindfulness, healing, and faith as well as political secrets, sexual scandals, marijuana, drugs, and oil (all Neptune-related).

People with a favorable Jupiter-Neptune aspect tend to be optimistic, generous, tolerant, compassionate, and spiritual. They can solve problems intuitively and maintain a world-view perspective. They believe in their dreams and humanity in general and tend to care for the underdog and look out for the vulnerable. They have a natural love of music, art, religion, ceremony, and drama.

This Jupiter-Neptune aspect has benefited everyone depending on the houses in your horoscope ruled by Scorpio and Pisces. Even more so, it has helped anyone born in the middle of the water signs (Cancer Scorpio Pisces) and to a lesser degree those born in the middle of Taurus and Capricorn as well as anyone with planets and points in the middle degrees of the above signs.

So, despite all the disturbing and crazy things happening in our world, this special aspect has helped many people heal and grow in many ways such as with meditation, mindfulness, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, and other spiritual practices especially because of the involvement of the water-signs, Scorpio and Pisces.

To make sense of all this and to know where you now stand with your life and horoscope, click here to pay for a special $60 video report for you based on your date, time, and place of birth. It will explain in detail how all these factors along with the recent eclipses and other factors are affecting your life and horoscope.

Friday, August 17

Moon entered Scorpio Thursday morning and remains in Scorpio until early Saturday afternoon when it enters Sagittarius. With Moon in Scorpio, it’s a good time to dig deeper into your emotions and examine your ability to be intimate and share your feelings.

02:18 AM (Moon in Scorpio 90 Mercury in Leo) creates an active exchange between one’s conscious and unconscious minds which favors reflection, communication, discussions, and writing.

09:05 AM (Moon in Scorpio 00 Jupiter in Scorpio) this lovely once a month lunar aspect increases the possibilities for kindness, hope, benevolence, positive feelings, and uplifting emotional support.

09:32 AM (Moon in Scorpio 120 Neptune in Pisces) brings opportunities for healing, prayer, spirituality, mysticism, meditation, psychic phenomena, daydreaming, imagination, creativity, music, art, and other creative endeavors.

Note that above are two favorable lunar aspects in a short period (Moon harmonious with Jupiter and Neptune).

Saturday, August 18

03:48 AM (Moon in Scorpio 90 Sun in Leo) is the Quarter Moon marked by the differences between the fire-sign Leo and the water-sign Scorpio. Fire and water create boiling water. You must handle it carefully. Steam can fizzle on the stove or drive a locomotive.

Leo is more open, confident, enthusiastic and optimistic. It seeks the big stage where it can perform and find admiration. Leo is the extrovert feeling it’s presence and self-importance. Scorpio is more profound and inwardly oriented. It is more of a hermit and operates in subtle ways with a tendency toward privacy and secrets.

Leo is the king and queen. Scorpio is more the king and queen-maker. Leo wants to be admired on stage while Scorpio can be comfortable managing from behind the scenes. Leo is more extravagant and indulgent while Scorpio is thriftier and more self-controlled. Leo is the risk taker while Scorpio is more security oriented.

In the end, this sign combination an intense and willful combination known for its many wonderful qualities and involves many high-end professionals such as doctors, surgeons, lawyers, power brokers, business owners, and CEOs.

03:48 AM Moon in Scorpio goes Void until 12:44 PM when it enters Sagittarius. With the Sun in the fire-sign Leo and the Moon in the fire-sign Sagittarius, we have a harmonious Sun-Moon combination.

Leo-Sagittarius is a confident and energized combination with much motivation and confidence. It’s leadership, exploration, and aspirations as well as sports, athletics, the outdoors, and international travel. It can inspire others with their generous spirit, idealism, spark, and confidence.

Personal freedom and independence are essential. They resist being "owned" or dictated to. There is a strong urge to express themselves spontaneously and creatively which often does not conform to others’ ways and conventions.

Clients with Leo and Sagittarius active in their horoscopes are positive, outgoing, independent, progressive, and forward thinking. They want to move onward and upward with their lives and thrive in situations where there’s energy, excitement, action, movement, dynamism, and drama. They are not happy unless they have a beautiful dream to believe in.

The downside for this vigorous and active approach to life is not being particularly nurturing or sentimental. They can be overbearing and irritating as they express themselves openly and freely without regard for the needs and opinions of others.

They need to become more understanding, sensitive, and compassionate by realizing that most people are not as innately positive, confident, extroverted, motivated, and high energy as they are.

05:35 PM (Moon in Sagittarius 150 Uranus in Taurus) enhances instincts and willfulness but also brings nervousness, anxiety, fears, upsets, moodiness, restlessness, stubbornness, fanaticism, excitability, and emotionally charged situations.

Sunday, August 19

12:24 AM * (Mercury goes direct) explained at the top of this newsletter.

03:44 AM * (Jupiter in Scorpio 120 Neptune Pisces) also explained at the top of this newsletter.

11:13 AM (Moon in Sagittarius 120 Mercury in Leo) brings opportunities for communication, discussions, writing, and sales. Being in the fire signs, Leo and Sagittarius, this aspect brings additional opportunities for sales, marketing, and promotion.

07:11 PM (Moon in Sagittarius 90 Neptune in Pisces) increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion as well as highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. This period is better for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation than for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.

How to Benefit from This Information

These newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions provide some of the possibilities for around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frames are better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, business, or any other event, for example.

The * factors listed are more significance for right timing because they are in effect for a more extended time (often up to a week). Any business, project, decision, relationship, wedding, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities and characteristics of the descriptions listed.

The lunar (Moon) aspects listed are less significant because they are in effect for only hours (versus days) before and until the times (Eastern Time) given, but they are still quite relevant for right timing.

The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how good the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.

The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.

With Void periods, there tends to be a lull in the energy levels, and what you start, or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, during Void periods it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, for example, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

The Moon enters each sign of the zodiac about every 28 days and remains in that sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon’s in your sun sign, matters are likely to come more together for you on a short-term basis unless there are now significant challenging aspects in your horoscope.

Note that the traits given for each sign in these newsletters are not intended to describe your personality, although at times the descriptions may be entirely accurate. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character fully from an astrological perspective, there are dozens of other factors in a horoscope to consider besides one's sun sign.
