Timing Through Memorial Day
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter
Saturday is a bit edgy in the sky, but Sunday is marked by a combination of favorable lunar aspects through late afternoon. As always, how your days go depends principally on what’s occurring in your personal horoscope.
The more significant aspects covered in these newsletters are indicated by a * next to the dates and aspect explanations. For this weekend, it’s Jupiter-Neptune and Mercury-Pluto peaking Friday morning, Venus-Saturn peaking Saturday morning, and Sun-Saturn peaking Tuesday morning.
Mars entered Aquarius last week and is now at 03 degrees Aquarius which creates possible conflicts, urgency, impulsiveness, and stress for anyone born around the third day of Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, and Aquarius and for anyone with planets or points around 03 degrees of the same signs.
Jupiter, the planet of hope, opportunity, and expansion is now retrograde at 16 degrees Scorpio which offers opportunities for anyone born around the seventh of any month and for any planets and points in your horoscope around 16 degrees.
Saturn retrograde at 08 degrees Capricorn is likely to be creating challenges, tests, delays, losses, and realities for anyone born around the twenty-ninth of March, May, June, July, September, and December and for anyone with points or planets around 08 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Capricorn.
Uranus is now approaching 01 degrees of Taurus after entering Taurus on May 15 for the first time in 84 years. Uranus in Taurus will create significant shifts, changes, and adjustments for Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius and any planets and points you have in these signs over the next seven years. There will also be significant opportunities for the earth signs (Taurus Virgo Capricorn) and to a lesser degree the water signs Cancer and Pisces. Contact me for a full report on how this important planetary shift will be affecting you and your horoscope over the next seven years.
The other relevant astrological factors for this Memorial Day Weekend are listed below.
~ Friday, May 25
05:52 AM * (Jupiter in Scorpio 120 Neptune in Pisces) was explained in my last newsletter. This wonderful outer-planet aspect occurs once every four years. It brings benefits to everyone’s chart depending on the houses in your horoscope ruled by Scorpio and Pisces. The effects of this extraordinary aspect began last October when Jupiter entered Scorpio, and the alignment became exact early December of last year. It's exact again today and for the final time on August 19.
08:26 AM (Moon in Libra 150 Neptune in Pisces) increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion as well as highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. This period is better for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation than for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.
09:37 AM * (Mercury in Taurus 120 Pluto in Capricorn) is a plus aspect in effect this past week. People with this aspect have deep and penetrating minds and are interested in anything secret, mysterious, or hidden, including the deeper aspects of the human psyche. They possess an aptitude for private investigation, psychology, and research, and are drawn to esoteric studies.
05:03 PM (Moon in Libra 90 Pluto in Capricorn) can bring complicated interpersonal situations, especially involving women and families. There are more likely to be emotionally charged situations involving manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles, but these factors are often not realized until later.
06:23 PM (Moon in Libra 150 Mercury in Taurus) creates a more active exchange between one’s conscious and unconscious minds which favors reflection, communication, discussions, and writing.
06:23 PM Moon in Libra becomes Void until 09:39 AM Saturday morning when it enters the next sign, Scorpio. Recall that during Void periods, there tends to a lull in the energy levels, and what you start or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, during Void periods it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital.
~ Saturday, May 26
02:39 AM * (Venus in Cancer 180 Saturn Capricorn) is a challenging aspect in effect this past week related to problems with love and money which means that anyone who started a business, got married, or met someone new this past week will likely face challenges.
Venus represents our primary need to be loved and appreciated. It is also related to values, money, joy, harmony, and females. Saturn negatively aspected brings restrictions, negation, denial, delays, pain, grief, and losses. As a result, people with a challenging Venus-Saturn aspect find that love and money do not come as easily as those with favorable aspects to their Venus. They are more likely to experience financial and emotional losses and worries.
Early in life, there is usually a major disappointment. Typically, one or both of their parents abandon or abuse them physically or emotionally, or the parents don’t have the time and energy to give to them. As a result, the child doesn’t get the warmth, attention, and affection needed to feel secure and wanted. This results in feeling insecure and unloved. They begin to assume unconsciously that they’re not good enough to be loved or to prosper which eventually gets them into all kinds of trouble.
On the plus side, people with a challenging Venus-Saturn aspect are often quite loyal, committed, dutiful, thrifty, and sacrificing in a good way.
09:39 AM Moon enters Scorpio where it remains until early Monday evening when it enters the next sign, Sagittarius.
10:42 AM (Moon in Scorpio 180 Uranus in Taurus) increases instincts and willfulness but can also bring nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, and emotionally charged situations.
12:55 PM (Moon in Scorpio 150 Chiron in Aries) brings opportunities for healing and relationships.
04:45 PM (Moon in Scorpio 90 Mars in Aquarius) intensifies any interpersonal situation. Impatience, intensity, impulsiveness, strong desires, and even anger and forceful actions are more likely. If you are trying to resolve an issue with someone, for example, be aware that volatile emotions are more likely than rational thinking.
08:16 PM (Moon in Scorpio 150 Sun in Gemini) highlights the differences between the air-sign Gemini and the water-sign Scorpio. If these two signs are important in your horoscope, or you are in a Gemini-Scorpio relationship, adjustments and compromises are required because air and water do not mix well. It can get a bit misty and turbulent. The winds of the air can blow against the tides of the water.
Geminis are more casual, easy-going, friendly, flippant, and lighthearted. Scorpios are more intense, deep, private and secretive. Gemini is about breadth. It’s curious about everything and likes to jump around and lightly go over whatever comes up. Scorpio is about depth. It has a more focused and enduring approach which enables the completion of whatever comes up.
Gemini enjoys people, socializing, and needs a variety and novelty with mental stimulation. Scorpio is more private and at times downright unsociable. Gemini needs to feel free to move about while Scorpio tends to be possessive or even jealous of Gemini's friends.
These emotional differences can create difficulties appreciating and understanding one another. Scorpio is very passionate emotionally and feels everything more deeply than others. It has strong emotional reactions and can intensely love and hate at the same time. Scorpio does not have Gemini’s ability to be detached, reasonable, and rational in personal situations.
All these differences do not mean these Gemini-Scorpio days are “lousy.” I am merely describing the psychological needs and differences between two signs.
On the plus side, this is an excellent time to take advantage of the positive qualities of both signs by integrating your conscious thoughts and communication (Gemini) with your subconscious feelings and emotions (Scorpio) such as through journaling or active discussions with your friends and mate.

12:34 AM (Moon in Scorpio 90 Node in Leo) enhances social interactions, networking, and any connections or alliances with groups large and small.
02:55 AM (Moon in Scorpio 120 Venus in Cancer) fosters cooperation, cheerfulness, affections, pleasantries, gracefulness, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially involving females.
03:47 PM (Moon in Scorpio 00 Jupiter in Scorpio) is a wonderful aspect enhancing social consciousness, kindness, helpfulness, benevolence, positive feelings, and emotional support.
04:22 PM (Moon in Scorpio 120 Neptune in Pisces) brings opportunities for healing, prayer, spirituality, mysticism, meditation, psychic phenomena, daydreaming, imagination, creativity, music, art, and other creative endeavors.
~ Monday, May 28
01:25 PM (Moon in Scorpio 180 Mercury in Taurus) differences of opinions and thinking are influenced by feelings, but this aspect also brings opportunities for communication, discussions, writing, and sales.
01:25 PM Moon in Scorpio becomes Void until 06:28 PM when it enters the next sign, Sagittarius.
07:47 PM (Moon in Sagittarius 150 Uranus in Taurus) enhances instincts and willfulness, but can also bring nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, and emotionally charged situations.
~ Tuesday, May 28
02:36 AM * (Sun in Gemini 150 Saturn in Capricorn) is a challenging aspect in effect this past week. The Sun represents men and our primary direction and purpose in life. Saturn rules negation, delays, and losses. Therefore, anyone new you meet and anything you start is less likely to work out. Men are more likely to be negative, demanding, critical, and opposing. Business and political leaders are under increased pressure for their actions.
This does not mean you should not do anything, but if you start an important project, open a new business, or make a major decision, for example, around this time, the chances for success are diminished according to the rules of right timing. Saturn negatively aspected does not put the odds on your side. It tends to delay and block versus help and support. People with a challenging Sun-Saturn aspect in their horoscope tend to have a harder life than others. There are many obstacles and difficulties to overcome, but in the end, they can be quite durable, hard-working, and successful.
How to Benefit from This Information
These newsletters are not intended to tell you what is going to happen in your life at the times given. Instead, the aspect descriptions explain some of the possibilities which may occur around the times given so you can more wisely plan for and participate in your life. Often, it is obvious which time frame is better than others for timing or starting a party, trip, decision, or any other event.
The more important aspects listed in these newsletters are the non-lunar aspects indicated by a * next to the dates. They should be given greater consideration for right timing because they are typically in effect for about a week before the date given. Any business, project, decision, relationship, and childbirth, for example, started around the dates given will have the qualities of the aspects in effect on those dates.
The Moon (lunar) aspects listed in these newsletters are less significant because they are in effect only for hours before and until the times (Eastern Time) given, but they are still important to consider for understanding what is occurring on a day and for right timing.
The most critical factor with right timing is what’s occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of your success with right timing are diminished no matter how good are the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope, but if you apply the information in these newsletters with common sense, you have an advantage with timing your decisions and activities.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the "stars" on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events, whether you know it or not.
With Void periods, there tends to a lull in the energy levels, and what you start or implement is less likely to turn out the way you planned or expected. So, during Void periods it’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose in mind versus trying to start something new and vital.
