Whether you know it or not, you have two horoscopes. The traditional geocentric horoscope which is the center point for most astrological work including sun sign analysis, and the heliocentric horoscope set up as if you were looking out from the center of the sun at the moment of your birth.
In a heliocentric chart, the center point is the Earth point which is always exactly opposite the position of the Sun. For example, if your Sun is at 8° Libra, your Earth position is 8° Aries.
The positions of the other planets in the heliocentric chart can vary widely from your geocentric positions except for the slower, outer planets (Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune Pluto). For example, if your Mercury is at 15° Sagittarius, it may be at 3° Aquarius in your heliocentric chart.
For many years, I have used heliocentric charts for my clients and research because they add valuable information for understanding a person’s personality and destiny.
An example is Nicholas Cruz (born September 24, 1998), the teenager in Florida charged with 17 counts of murder after the slaughter at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentine's Day.
His geocentric horoscope indicates the possibility for violence with Sun in Libra opposite Mars in Aries, but his heliocentric horoscope clearly indicates possible issues with anger and violence.
Specifically, he has a tightly aspected four-planet combination involving Earth and Mars in Aries exactly square Saturn and Uranus in Capricorn. The possible negative manifestations of these planetary combinations are listed below.
Earth Mars: hastiness, stubbornness, restlessness, quarrelsome, violence.
Earth Saturn: inhibitions in mental and physical developmental, the inclination to be a pessimist, seeing the darker side of everything, feeling cut off and separated from others.
Earth Uranus: willful, obstinate, contrary, impatient, excitable, a troublemaker, sudden setbacks in life.
Mars Saturn: harmful and destructive energy, inhibited vitality, harshness, bitterness, destructive, the tendency to hurt or be injured.
Mars Uranus: argumentative disposition, willful obstinacy, the lack of balance, intolerance, the urge for freedom, strong emotional tensions, a fighting spirit, violence.
Saturn Uranus: unusual emotional tensions and strains, irritability, emotional conflicts, rebelliousness, provocative conduct, acts of violence.
These acute planetary challenges in his horoscopes did not mean this young man was destined to do an atrocious act on Valentine’s Day, but you can see that his planetary karma indicates a troublesome life and that he would be more susceptible to such an act.
Unfortunately, this astrological perspective would not be covered in the media.
