Right Timing with Solar Eclipse

Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter

The stars are harmonious from now through Thursday when there’s a partial solar eclipse. Eclipses are traditionally thought of as being ominous, portending disasters and catastrophes. But this eclipse is harmoniously aligned which means what you start will more likely succeed depending on your intentions and what’s occurring in your horoscope.

~ Tuesday

Moon entered Aquarius this morning where it remains until Thursday evening when it enters the next sign, Pisces.

05:39 PM Mercury square Jupiter becomes exact. This aspect, in effect this past week, brings a wealth of ideas, intellectual success, and the gift of speech. It’s associated with the writer, scientist, and trial attorney.

09:22 PM Sun sextile Uranus is exact. This aspect, also in effect this past week, is associated with a progressive mind and revolutionary spirit. People with a Sun Uranus aspect are typically bright, open-minded, and have scientific and technical expertise.

The two aspects above are quite favorable for intellectual thoughts and ideas. Some of the aspects highlighted on Thursday also have similar qualities. So overall, it’s a good time to be thinking more openly and globally.

~ Wednesday

Valentine’s Day. If you plan on doing something special with or for your loved one(s) later today, the times most propitious for Cincinnati, Ohio are 05:10 PM, 05:50 to 06:15 PM, 06:50 PM, and early Thursday morning from midnight until 01:30 AM.

~ Thursday

07:00 AM Moon in Aquarius squares Jupiter in Scorpio which promotes emotional support and positive feelings such as kindness and benevolence.

10:07 AM another mentally creative aspect culminates with Mercury sextile Uranus. Again, in effect this past week, this aspect is related to mental flexibility and intellectual brilliance.

01:06 PM Moon in Aquarius conjuncts Mercury in Aquarius which opens the channels between the conscious and unconscious minds to augment any communication, discussions, reflection, and writing.

04:05 PM Moon in Aquarius aligns with Sun in Aquarius to form a New Moon which is also a partial solar eclipse because the Sun, Moon, and Earth are aligned by both longitude and latitude. In this case, the Moon partially obscures the light from the Sun across the Earth’s surface to cause the day to appear as night at certain parts of the earth for as long as the eclipse lasts.

This eclipse will occur at 27 degrees Aquarius which is almost exactly opposite the degrees of the Great American Eclipse last August at 28 degrees Leo. So, if your horoscope was impacted by last August's eclipse, you will be impacted by this one as well.

This eclipse will not be as spectacular as last August’s eclipse which was the first eclipse since 1918 to be visible from coast to coast, and the first solar eclipse to be seen only on American soil since 1776.

Keep in mind that although eclipses are short-lived, their effects can last for years from an astrological perspective. With this one occurring late in Aquarius, it will principally impact your horoscope by the house ruled by Aquarius. It will also give you a boost if your Sun or other points are near the end of the air signs (Gemini Libra Aquarius), the fixed signs (Taurus Leo Scorpio Aquarius), and to a lesser degree, Aries and Sagittarius.

04:05 PM the Moon becomes Void at the time of the eclipse and lasts until 09:42 PM when it enters the next sign, Pisces.

Notes: The Moon (lunar) aspects listed in these newsletters are in effect for a few hours before and until the times (Eastern Time) given. Often nothing special will happen for you at these times, but the descriptions can be helpful to plan by right timing.

The basic premise with right timing is that if you start a marriage, trip, surgery, or business, for example, at an inopportune time, the chances of success are reduced no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try. The better the timing, the greater your chances of success.
