Right Timing Through Christmas Day
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter
The big news this week is Saturn entering Capricorn on Tuesday and Mercury going direct on Friday as covered in newsletters sent out earlier this week. Several other factors are relevant from now through Christmas Day.
~ Thursday: Moon in Aquarius squares Mars in Scorpio at 01:13 PM ET. People with this highly charged aspect tend to be impatient, intense, quick to anger, and not always diplomatic with how they approach matters. Therefore, if you are in a meeting or you are trying to resolve an issue with someone, be aware that this aspect can create disruptive words and emotions, especially involving females, for a few hours before and until the time given.
The big news today is the arrival of the winter solstice with the movement of the Sun into Capricorn at 11:29 AM which marks the official start of winter in the Northern Hemisphere and summer in the Southern Hemisphere. The shift from Sagittarius to Capricorn will enable us to be more Capricorn-like during the next 30 days: disciplined, organized, responsible, sacrificing, achieving, task-oriented, and focused on longer-range goals.
Sun in Capricorn conjuncts Saturn in Capricorn at 04:09 PM which confirms that we are now in a Capricorn time frame. People with a Sun Saturn aspect tend to lack confidence and a belief in themselves. They need to work hard and long before they get want what they want in life, but in the end, the path taken can be quite rewarding and fulfilling if they stick with their values and believe in their worthiness and abilities.
~ Friday: Mercury goes Direct at 08:51 PM. What matters is the three to five days before and after Friday whereby many matters and issues in your life are seen in a different light as Mercury, the planet related to our thoughts and attitudes, shifts in the sky.
~ Saturday: Moon enters Pisces at 09:42 AM and is harmonious with Sun in Capricorn until the Moon enters the next sign Aries on Christmas Day at 07:27 PM. I call Capricorn and Pisces the “original odd couple” because they are so diametrically different yet also complementary by nature. The feelings and softness of the water-sign Pisces can bring confusion and healing to the rational and hardened nature of the earth-sign Capricorn.
~ Sunday: Moon in Pisces aligns with Neptune in Pisces at 08:48 AM which can bring fantasies and confusion as well as highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. This is not the ideal time to make logical, clear-cut decisions, but the possibilities for imagination, creativity, prayer, and meditation are excellent.
Moon in Pisces squares Mercury in Sagittarius at 11:31 AM which favors writing and an active mind, but one needs to be careful with gossip and misdirected words.
Moon in Pisces favorably aligns with Jupiter in Scorpio at 4:20 PM. This lovely and healing aspect involving the water signs, increases the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive feelings, and uplifting emotional support.
~ Monday: Venus enters Capricorn early in the morning which where it remains until January 17 of next year which favors Capricorn and the other earth signs (Taurus and Capricorn) as well as the Cardinal signs (Aries Cancer Libra Capricorn).
Venus in Capricorn conjuncts Saturn in Capricorn at 12:55 PM. People with this aspect have challenges like the Sun Saturn aspect explained above for Tuesday, but the obstacles are more likely to involve money and love which Venus rules. They can be quite loyal, faithful, and sacrificing, but love and financial security do not come readily for them. Learn more about Venus Saturn aspects with my October 06, 2017 newsletter: Right Timing for Love & Romance.
Moon in Aries squares Saturn in Capricorn at 8:44 PM. This aspect can put a damper on matters involving emotions, females, and family matters for a few hours before and until this time.
Moon squares Venus at 09:30 PM which can bring cheerfulness, pleasantries, gracefulness, peaceful times, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially involving females.
With regards to right timing, you can see the obvious differences between the last two entries above. Theoretically, it would be advantageous to have a social gathering, intimate discussion, or anything else during the later time frame versus the earlier one described above.
I wish you and your loved ones the happiest of holidays.
