Right Timing for Love & Romance
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter
A challenging aspect in effect this past week culminates Sunday. It sends a cautionary flag for any new romantic interest and for marriage itself.
Venus square Saturn occurs about twice a year. Venus represents love and affection, and discordant aspects from Saturn lessen, delay, and create problems for whatever it touches.
Therefore, there are more likely to be problems and issues with anyone new you meet romantically this weekend and for marriage itself. This aspect is not conducive to long-lasting, loving relationships.
When I see this aspect in the horoscope of a client, I ask them if they were physically or psychologically abandoned by one or both of their parents. Almost always, they can relate to this question. There were significant events in their early upbringing not conducive to feeling fully nurtured and supported. They felt cut off from love.
The problem is that these early experiences affect one’s whole life and well-being, not only with romance and marriage. There can be an ongoing process of dealing with the pains of rejection, criticisms, and other psychological issues created by a dysfunctional family atmosphere and deficient parental involvement.
The person needs to understand the dynamics and repercussions of this aspect (and any other problematic aspect in their horoscope), and how they are playing out in their life. They also need to take proactive steps to heal and work through their feelings of loneliness and rejection programmed into their psyche.
If one struggles with self-confidence and feeling loved and appreciated, relationships on all levels are bound to suffer. They will not be as fulfilling as they should be.
The plus side of challenging Venus Saturn aspects is that the person can be quite appreciative of anyone who does show them love and affection. They can be loyal, dutiful, and sacrificing (almost to a fault) for their loved ones. They just want to be loved and appreciated.
Back to the issue of right timing. The marriage chart based on the time a couple marries tells a lot about the couple and their relationship for better or worse. So, if a client asked me for a good time to meet someone new this weekend, or if a client asked me if this weekend is a good time to get married, I would explain the repercussions of Venus square Saturn and why this is not the best time for love and romance. There will be other times more favorable.
All this does not mean that any marriage or romantic interest this weekend is doomed. The presence of Venus square Saturn in the horoscope of their marriage chart suggests that something is not right with the relationship, and that over time issues will manifest in one way or another between them. The truth has a funny way of creeping up on us. Ideally the issues were understood and addressed before getting married.
All relationships are challenging. Some are made in heaven and some in hell. Most are in between. The point is that marital issues will be less significant if a marriage commences at an auspicious time. But if two people are not compatible astrologically, no amount of good timing can assure a good marriage.
Note that with the “right timing” information I share in these newsletters, I am not suggesting that I know everything and I can say exactly what is going to happen. I can say though with assurance that by avoiding certain challenging planetary aspects which don't lend to favorable outcomes, you are more likely to be successful with what you are trying to achieve.
