Next Week Is Better
Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter
Three challenging aspects dominate this week.
The first one (Mercury in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces) was discussed in my last newsletter. In effect this past week, this aspect can account for the confusion and “he said, he said” narrative going on in Washington, D.C.
Mercury-Neptune aspects can inspire and expand our thoughts and consciousness beyond the ordinary, but matters can get fuzzy and hazy as the boundless imagination associated with Neptune gets out of hand. Thus, lies, deception, confusion, mistakes, misrepresentation, and forgetfulness are more likely.
With this aspect present, carefully analyze every situation and try to be as objective as possible. Watch your assumptions and don’t overlook the details.
The second aspect active this week (Sun in Gemini opposite Saturn in Sagittarius) occurs once a year and peaks tomorrow. This is not a major aspect but is certainly worth understanding.
The Sun represents warmth, men, authority figures, and our primary life force and direction in life. When not harmonious, Saturn creates delays, negation, oppression, losses, and legal issues.
Differences and conflicts are amplified. Men are more negative, demanding, and critical. Ego power struggles are more prevalent. Business and political leaders are held more accountable for their actions.
Due to the restrictive influence of Saturn, anyone new you meet and anything new you start is less likely to work out. It’s not the best of times to get married or start a new project or business, for example.
With this aspect present, it’s better to exercise the positive qualities of Saturn: focus, determination, caution, safety, self-control, patience, and hard work. It’s also a good time to take a hard look at what’s working and not working in your life and get rid of the unnecessary.
The third aspect (Mercury in Gemini opposite Saturn in Sagittarius) peaks Sunday and has also been in effect this past week. It can create great differences with opinions and major obstacles with negotiations and settlements.
People with a Mercury-Saturn aspect in their horoscope are serious thinkers. They wish their thoughts were not so heavy and thorough. They want to feel “a bit lighter,” but their mind keeps wanting to figure everything out with preciseness and exactness.
With this aspect present, it’s best to realize that nothing and no one is perfect. Don’t be so demanding of yourself and others. Be more flexible with your expectations. Facts and accuracy are important, but there are other considerations.
The presence of these three aspects does not mean everything this week will be confusing, negative, conflicting, and unproductive. Nor does it mean everything will suddenly be fine and dandy for you and the world next week. It does means that for major decisions and fresh starts, it’s more appropriate for you to wait for better times.
