Taurus-Scorpio Full Moon

Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter

The Moon entered Scorpio early yesterday morning. Later this afternoon the Moon in Scorpio directly opposes the Sun in Taurus to form a Full Moon at 05:42 PM EDT. At this time the Moon also goes Void until early tomorrow afternoon when it enters the next sign Sagittarius.

As with all opposite signs, the earth-sign Taurus and the water-sign Scorpio are quite different by nature.

Taurus is more easygoing, laid back and simpler in its ways. Scorpio is probably the most intense, complicated and passionate of the twelve signs. With Taurus, you get what you see. With Scorpio, you never know what to expect.

Taurus is focused on practical efforts and material desires. It seeks comforts and possessions and can be self-indulgent.

Scorpio is more emotionally based and intimacy driven with a desire for self-mastery and depth of understanding and can be hard to deal with.

Taurus is more focused on the physical. Scorpio is more related to the emotional side of life. Taurus is easier to be around while Scorpio can be intensely confrontational. Both signs want to be in control. Taurus being stubborn and Scorpio willful.

Anatomically, Taurus is related the lips, mouth, and tongue which includes the sensorial pleasures of eating and kissing. And just as these two signs are opposite, Scorpio is related to the other end: the sexual and eliminative organs which include the sensorial pleasures of sex.

When this earth water combination is emphasized in a personal horoscope or a relationship, you can get mud or flowers. The ease and slowness of Taurus can calm or frustrate intense Scorpio, and the intensity of Scorpio can upset or motivate slow-moving Taurus.

Both Taurus and Scorpio are related to money and finances. If these signs are emphasized in your horoscope, you are more likely to be interested in or involved with financial matters.

Taurus represents self-earned money and your personal possessions and financial status. What you have under your pillow and in your jewelry box, and what you can go up to your bank and withdrawal right now.

Scorpio is more related to shared or co-mingled resources such as debt, loans, payments, buyouts, settlements, wills, inheritances, banks, mortgages, bankruptcies, alimony, taxes, insurance, unemployment benefits, and entitlements such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

Professionally, Taurus is the banker, financier, treasurer, cashier, bank teller, accountant, and economist.

Scorpio is accounting and bookkeeping, banking, credit cards, taxes, insurance, the stock market, brokerage firms, collection agencies, investment companies, conglomerates, holding companies, and money funds.
