Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter March 29, 2017
Late this morning the Moon moved from Aries to Taurus. Early tomorrow evening the Moon goes Void until 12:40 PM EDT on Friday when it enters the next sign Gemini.
My newsletter on Monday explained the current emphasis on Aries and why this is a good time overall to practice the positive qualities associated with Aries: being active, assertive, brave, courageous, adventuresome, independent, enthusiastic, energetic and spontaneous.
It’s also a good time to be aware of and focus on how all this Aries energy is playing out in one of your twelve houses because even though the Moon is now in Taurus, Sun, Mercury, Venus and Uranus are still in Aries.
But Moon in Taurus will slow down a bit the Aries freight train.
Aries is quick, excitable, and expressive. Taurus is more calm, steady, and passive. Aries wants excitement and freedom with no boundaries. Taurus wants consistency and certainty with practical results.
Aries first response to any situation is action, whether appropriate or not. Taurus responds with more of a wait-and-see approach, or let’s allow the situation to resolve itself in its own time.
Aries enjoys action and stimulation. It seeks the challenge of new adventures. Taurus above all else wants tranquility, stability, and security.
In a nutshell, Aries wants to go faster and Taurus needs to go slower.
Aries says “let’s jump in and get going” while Taurus says, “I need to make sure this is reasonable before I step forward.”
Aries is good at starting things and getting people excited and on board the freight train, but often lack the practicality and sustaining qualities which Taurus offers.
If the fire sign Aries and the earth sign Taurus are emphasized in your horoscope or in a relationship, you should be aware of these differences.
The fiery nature of Aries can scorch and upset the earthy pragmatic nature of Taurus, and the
slowness of the earth sign Taurus can smother the quickness and spontaneity of the fire in Aries.
Taurus puts its roots down and gets emotionally attached to a familiar place while Aries is much more eager to change and uproot when conditions feel stagnant or new opportunities are presented.
All these contrasts between the “go” of Aries and the “slower” nature of Taurus can be hard on your psyche and relationships. But with Aries and Taurus in your horoscope or relationships, these differences can be favorable checks and balances.
The down to earth practicality of Taurus can temper and stabilize the exuberance of Aries, and the need for Aries to get going and explore new ideas and territories can motivate Taurus to get beyond their set habits and lifestyle.
Good careers for this sign combination are any field combining the explorative and adventuresome nature of Aries with the steadiness and artistic strengths of Taurus.
