Mars, the planet which provides us with energy, action and willpower, circles the zodiac about every two years. Last Thursday, March 09, Mars moved from Aries to Taurus where it remains until April 21 when it enters the next sign Gemini.
Because Aries is about immediacy (getting what we want right now), and Taurus is more about patience and perseverance, Mars in Taurus will slow down the rush and provide a more deliberate and patient approach to life. It’s about allowing matters to unfold in their natural order rather than wanting everything to happen right now in our own way.
With Mars also related to desires, conflicts and stress, any planet or point you have in the fixed signs (Taurus Leo Scorpio Aquarius) will experience increased demands and possible conflicts at some time over the next five weeks.
It is always interesting to watch how these astrological factors unfold in our life.
For example, if your Sun is in Taurus, Mars in Taurus is basically good for you. It will provide you with extra energy over the next five weeks, and also more demands on you. When Mars is exactly conjunct your Sun (which occurs only once every two years), the following is more likely for about a week around the date Mars conjuncts your Sun.
You experience a burst of energy and are more vigorous, bold, assertive, and impatient. You feel ambitious and capable of doing a lot and meeting challenges successfully. However, if you feel your will is blocked, you may become angry. You are less willing to accommodate others and meet people halfway. Your ego-drive and competitiveness are strong.
If your Sun is in Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius, Mars will be square your Leo or Aquarius Sun and opposite your Scorpio Sun which occurs only once every two years. Expect the following for about a week around the date Mars aspects your Sun.
You are inclined to be aggressive and hot-tempered, particularly when your will is blocked. Your pushiness or competitive attitude is likely to create antagonism, hostility, and further resistance to your efforts. It is better to work alone rather than try to cooperate or coordinate your efforts with anyone. Also, you are impatient and tend to behave in an impulsive, irritable way which makes you more prone to accidents during this period. Expect ego-driven conflicts with the males in your life.
It your Moon is in Taurus, Mars will be conjunct your Moon sometime over the next five weeks which occurs only once every two years. The following is more likely for about a week around the date Mars conjuncts your Moon.
You are more temperamental, impassioned, and inclined to act on the dictates of emotion and desire rather than reason. Minor annoyances and the idiosyncrasies of others aggravate you more than usual. You are in a fighting mood. Your relationships with your family and the women you are closest to are likely to be stormy. Expect active and dramatic reactions from the females in your life.
If your Moon is in Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius, Mars will be square your Leo or Aquarius Moon and opposite your Scorpio Moon which occurs only once every two years. Expect the following for about a week around the date Mars aspects your Moon.
You are prone to irritability, temper tantrums, and flying off the handle for slim reasons. You are also impatient and inclined to rush unnecessarily, which can cause accidents or bruised feelings on the part of the people you live with or work closely with. You are in a fighting mood and stand up for your rights more readily than usual, but beware of the tendency to be abrasive and insensitive. Expect emotionally-based differences and conflicts with the females in your life.
And so on for all the other planets and points in your horoscope which are in the fixed signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.
