Five Things to Know Today

First, the nasty aspect building since early this month (as described in my last newsletter “An Astro Alert”) peaked this morning. This powerful aspect created havoc with violence, flooding and fires, for example, as well as much tension and frustration for many people. It also clarified and brought to a head many issues brewing in our lives.

Second, today is favorable in the sky with Moon in Taurus aligned with three planets in Virgo (Venus, Jupiter and Mercury). These aspects are productive as well as the fact that Sun now in Virgo and Moon in Taurus are both in productive earth signs.

Third, when the Moon aligns with Mercury at 03:38 PM ET this afternoon, the Moon also goes Void until 07:40 PM this evening when it enters the next sign Gemini. Recall that during Void periods, it’s better to focus on everyday tasks and do something for the heck of it as opposed to starting or implementing something significant.

Fourth, tonight at 11:41 PM there is a last quarter Moon when Moon in Gemini squares Sun in Virgo.

Fifth, keep in mind that next Tuesday, August 30, Mercury goes retrograde. Recall from previous newsletters that this is not “bad” in and of itself, but for about five days before and after the time Mercury goes retrograde, our thinking, attitudes, and plans tend to shift and change more than normal. More about this later.
