Yesterday we had a Full Moon at 7:02 AM ET. Twelve hours later the Sun entered Cancer which marked the Summer Solstice, the first day of Summer.

This is related to an overall shift from Gemini to Cancer. Venus went from Gemini to Cancer on June 17, and on June 29 Mercury moves from Gemini to Cancer. Sun, Mercury and Venus remain in Cancer until July 12 when Venus moves to the next sign Leo.

This is good for Cancer and the house Cancer rules in your horoscope. Sun, Mercury and Venus bring focus, joy, pleasures, comforts, gifts and benefits to our lives. But all this is not necessarily a big boost for you unless other favorable factors are now affecting your chart.

As you know, Gemini is the extrovert seeking mental stimulation with a variety of friends and acquaintances. Cancer is more inwardly oriented seeking security and emotional attachments with a premium on its home and family.

Gemini wants social interactions wherever they can find them. Cancer can stay home and find fulfillment. Gemini is more comfortable jumping around to this and that while Cancer prefers what is more familiar and secure.

Lastly, at 04:57 AM ET tomorrow morning, Moon in Capricorn goes Void until 04:08 PM when it enters the next sign Aquarius. Void periods are better for getting “little things” done and doing something “just for the heck of it” as opposed to starting or implementing something of greater importance.
