With the Sun still in Capricorn and the Moon in Aries from last evening until early Sunday morning, we have a tense and high energy Sun Moon combination. The earth of Capricorn and the fire of Aries creates molten lava.
If Capricorn and Aries are emphasized in your horoscope, or in your relationships, or to a lesser degree your first and tenth houses, you have some significant challenges to understand and work through due to the basic differences between these two signs.
Stress and conflicts are more likely. Capricorn is stop signs. Aries is green lights. One part of you wants to leap forward, and the other part of you wants to stop and think first.
Capricorn ruled by Saturn thrives on caution, format and responsibilities. It wants things clearly mapped out. It’s action after much foresight and planning. Aries ruled by Mars thrives on spontaneity and freedom. Action and initiatives are more important than pause and planning.
Capricorn is the responsible parent directing the child and setting parameters as to what is proper. Aries is the youngster at the grocery checkout counter impulsively grabbing candy off the shelves.
Capricorn’s need for practicality, orderliness and control can smother the spontaneity of Aries. And the fire of Aries can scorch and upset the practical and earthy nature of Capricorn.
Capricorn is tradition: what is tried and proven. Aries is new: what is fresh and different.
Capricorn wants assurance and results while Aries wants excitement with few rules and boundaries. Capricorn wants to be sure and certain. Aries likes to jump in and get going.
Neither sign is particularly emotional. They are more into the outer world of action and accomplishment. They need to balance their lives by slowing down and becoming more reflective and inwardly oriented. Loving themselves as much as what they do.
On the plus side, the ruling planets Saturn and Mars are related to work, willpower and determination. This sign combination can achieve many things with the energy and motivation Mars provides and the focus and steady efforts Saturn provides.
Professionally, a Capricorn and Aries emphasis is favorable for any challenging field or endeavor that require energy, initiative and persistence. Many of my clients with this emphasis are executives, entrepreneurs and business owners.
