At my “World on Alert” workshop two Sundays ago, I warned that things would be “heating up” over the coming weeks. It could be a perilous time for the world as many significant conflicts and issues come to a head.

I explained that this week a significant and disruptive planetary aspect would be in effect that increases the possibilities for extreme violence and conflicts.

Specifically, Mars square Pluto is an intense and explosive combination. There is typically an increase in turmoil, violence, assaults, injuries, brutality, cruelty, ruthlessness, domestic abuse, and murders.

This aspect is also connected with fanaticism and self-righteousness. A need to “be right” with little room for compromise or contrary thinking.

An example is yesterday’s shooting in San Bernardino, California, the deadliest mass shooting since the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre three years ago.

If you were born around the fourth of January, April, July and October, or have planets and points around fourteen degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn), be extra careful and vigilant.

There are always positive aspects in the sky as well. I focused on this challenging aspect because it is the most significant one for this week.
