Saturn Gets Biden

Ed Kluska’s Astrology & Mindful Living Newsletter

Everyone has a horoscope, and everything has a horoscope. When you started your job, when you bought your car, when you took a trip, when you got married, and when you started your business – all have horoscopes based on the time, date and place of inception. Election astrology is choosing the best time to start or initiate what you want to achieve.

As you know, yesterday Vice President Joe Biden announced that he would not run for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, ending months of speculation. Biden said the grieving process following the death of his elder son, Beau, earlier this year had left too little time to mount a winning campaign.

My October 13 newsletter “The Democratic Hopefuls” stated: “Poor Joe Biden (a Scorpio born November 20, 1942) is experiencing one of the most stressful astrological aspects there is. Saturn in Sagittarius is now opposite his Uranus in Gemini. This provocative aspect between Saturn and Uranus occurs once every 29 years in everyone’s horoscope, and peaks for him October 19 and 29.”

When transiting Saturn is opposite your Uranus once every 29 years, typically there are unusual emotional stress and strains due to a conflict between wanting to break through and do your thing without impediments (Uranus) and the delays and obstacles which Saturn typically brings when it challenges any planet or point in your horoscope.

This significant aspect did not mean he should not or would not run for the presidency. It means this was not the ideal time for him to announce his candidacy.

With Saturn opposite his Uranus this past year, and especially these past weeks, he has been under enormous pressures trying to make this decision.

When we are under such a stressful aspect astrologically, we are more likely to make poor judgments and mistakes. If he decided to run, it would have added enormous stress and strain in his life, and likely create setbacks and losses in the end. It was best that he allowed this opportunity to pass.

It’s like a compatibility relationship chart between two people. In this case, it’s between his horoscope and the time he would have announced his candidacy. That “marriage” would not have been good for him. It would have greatly diminished his possibilities for success.

For such decisions, you want a favorable time and chart that helps and supports you versus creating stress, strains and setbacks.
