For thousands of years astrologers and the general population have been fascinated with eclipses. Every culture has myths, legends, and stories in their lore related to them.

Tomorrow morning at 02:41 AM EDT the Moon in Virgo aligns with the Sun in Virgo at twenty degrees to create a New Moon which is also a Partial Solar Eclipse.

During a Solar Eclipse the Moon completely or partially obscures the Sun across the earth’s surface. As seen from earth, the light of the Sun blocked by the Moon causes the day to appear as night for as long as the eclipse lasts.

During these few minutes, animals and plants behave as if the day has ended and night has begun. This eclipse will darken southern Africa's skies on Sunday.

Eclipses are more significant when they aspect planets in the sky. This time there are no significant aspects.

Eclipses do not mean the skies will part or there will be incredibly positive news, but any child born, anyone and anything you come across, and anything you start on this weekend will have strong, positive Virgo qualities.

If the position of your Sun or any point in your horoscope is near twenty degrees of any sign (especially Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces), this eclipse has been and should give you an extra boost of positive energy especially for Virgos such as political candidates Bernie Sanders born September 08 and Ben Carson born September 18.

This eclipse will also give a positive boost to the energies associated with the house in your horoscope ruled by Virgo.
