Cancer Aquarius Adjustments The Moon entered Aquarius this morning so there is now a contrast in the sky between the Sun and the Moon. The emotional water-sign Cancer and the intellectual air-sign Aquarius require adjustments due to their basic differences. Cancer is more feelings based. It wants to be secure at any cost. Aquarius is more mentally oriented and wants to be free at any cost. Cancer needs assurance and emotional attachments. Aquarius needs freedom and emotional detachments. Cancer seeks what is safe, secure and familiar. Aquarius seeks what is new, novel and experimental. Cancer is absorbing and unifying while Aquarius is individualistic and separate. Cancer wants to nurture and mother people. Aquarius wants more friends and social interactions. Cancer says, “I want to get close to you and take care of you.” Aquarius says, “give me my space and don’t get too attached to me.” Cancer is innately more caring and protective while Aquarius is innately more objective and scientific. Cancer is related to the home and parenting while Aquarius is related to friends and acquaintances. These differences are significant if you are in an Aquarius-Cancer relationship or both signs are emphasized in your horoscope. For example, if your Sun and Mercury are in Aquarius and your Moon and Mars are in Cancer, one part of you is more objective and intellectually oriented, and the other part of you is more sensitive and emotionally connected. The sentimentality of Cancer can defuse and confuse the objectivity of Aquarius, and the cool intellectual detachment of Aquarius can be too insensitive for the feelings of Cancer. The clinging nature of Cancer can frustrate independent Aquarius, and the detached nature of Aquarius can frustrate the emotional responses Cancer wants. As a couple, Cancer can help Aquarius become more emotionally connected with those they love. Aquarius can help Cancer become more objective and stable with their emotions and feelings.
