Five Things to Know Now

First, the Summer Solstice was yesterday. Solstices and Equinoxes are important because they mark the entrance of the Sun into the Cardinal signs (Aries Cancer Libra Capricorn). In Latin, cardinal means “that on which something turns” so the first day of any Cardinal sign marks the official beginning of another season (Spring Summer Fall Winter) and the start of new “energies”. Some countries even celebrate these days, and some astrologers establish horoscopes based on these moments to make quarterly global and political forecasts. Second, with yesterday’s Solstice, the Sun moved from Gemini to the next sign Cancer. There will now be more emphasis on Cancer which should help Cancer and the other two water signs, Scorpio and Pisces. The shift from Gemini to Cancer is also enhanced by Mars entering Cancer Wednesday morning. With Mars, the planet of action and warfare, at the entrance of a Cardinal sign, expect more intense activities around the world. This factor extends from this past week to this coming weekend. Third, yesterday afternoon the Moon entered Virgo where it resides until early Wednesday morning. With the Moon in intelligent and discriminating Virgo, the psychological need is to take care of mundane tasks. Virgo enables us to be useful, logical, efficient and methodical. No matter how boring this sounds, get used to it because Moon in Virgo occurs every month. Fourth, adding to this work ethic is the fact that Mars has been in a challenging aspect to Saturn for the past week, and extends until this weekend. Mars Saturn aspects are good for hard work and focused efforts, but they also bring stress, bitterness and frustration. This planetary combination is also related to disasters and weather extremes including temperatures. Fifth, Mercury has been in a challenging aspect to Neptune for the past few weeks. Mercury rules information, communications and facts. Neptune is more interested in fantasy and make-believe than accuracy and preciseness. Hence, this planetary combination is associated with lies, fraud, confusion and false promises. Be careful with what you are hearing and seeing.
